      Chapter 1

      The Crystal Spring Estate is one of the finest properties in Western Kentucky. It has over 1,000 acres of excellent land with over 250 acres of meadows, pastures, with the remaining being a great deer habitat. With a two-year-old horse barn that has six stalls, a tack room, and a washing area along with a roofed outdoor wash area with a cement pad make this property very horse friendly. In addition, equipment shed is attached to the back of the barn. A second shelter connected to the pasture area with open stalls to the back and hedge doors at the front and a tack room. The pasture has water run underground to a holding tank, and the waterline is heated to prevent freezing. The pasture fenced, and cross fenced. A large hay meadow produces numerous bales. There is a two-car garage with a work shed, and separate garden shed. The extremely attractive turn of the century home had two and a half bathrooms, a wonderful living room that walks out to a fantastic greenhouse. It has a large eating room and formal dining room, sizeable walk-in closet and a beautiful master bathroom, insulation, hardwood floor. It has a tongue and groove ceilings, and grand staircase, with a two-car load garage and custom deck.

      The residents in Crystal Springs called Eva Chandler a cougar. A cougar is middle-aged women who date younger men. What the people of the small town didn’t know was that Eva Chandler was born Eva Carter, the daughter of factory workers, Steve and Amanda Carter. Eva was a loud mouthed, blue Jean wearing cowgirl and also a self-made a millionaire. She owned real estate in over twenty-five countries in Central Kentucky. She was tired of the city life in London, Kentucky and decided to move with her husband, Tom Chandler,
