Today we are witnessing an epidemic of chronic disease that threatens to unhinge our modern world—cancer, allergies, mental disorders, digestive problems.
You are what you eat.
Food is a key factor in determining if we stay healthy or develop disease, feel energized or worn out, embrace hope or drown in depression.
When you eat poorly, your body is not getting the nutrients it needs. This, in turn, creates an environment in which our bodies cannot function properly, fight off disease or heal as they should.
The goal of this book is to not just hand you a bunch of new recipes, but explain how certain ingredients react while under pressure. The cooking liquids actually increase, not decrease. Here, you will find the recipes and how-tos you dream about.
Fruits and vegetables contain compounds that reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, some cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, diabetes, and obesity.
