About this ebook

Sir Douglas Drury was a spy during the Napoleonic war and has the scars, and enemies, to show for it. When he is set upon in a London street, he finds it hard to be grateful because his rescuer is not only a woman, but French into the bargain!

Juliette Bergerine has learned to keep herself safe by avoiding undue attention, but now her life is also in danger and, together, she and Drury must take refuge in a mansion in Mayfair. There, this broodingly cynical man proves an irresistible temptation .

Author

Margaret Moore

Margaret Moore actually began her writing career at the age of eight, when she and a friend would make up stories together. She also loved to read and many years later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. After reading a romance by Kathleen Woodiwiss, Margaret took a course in popular fiction writing and through that, found Romance Writers of America. Three years later, in 1991, she sold her first historical romance. And the rest, as they say, is history!

"A Lover's Kiss" is a Harlequin Regency romance by Margaret Moore that is connected to "Kiss Me Quick" and "Kiss Me Again". This time our hero is the famed barrister Sir Douglas Drury. Drury was betrayed and tortured during the war and therefore has a passionate hatred of the French. Therefore, he's quite surprised when he's saved from an attack by Juliette, a penniless French seamstress. Juliette is later attacked by the same ruffians and she flees to Sir Drury for safety. They end up having to share a Mayfair townhouse and nobody is more surprised than Drury to find out that his perfect woman is French!A delightful frolic thru the Regency era with appearances by heroes and heroines from her former 'Kiss' novels. A fun afternoon's reading.
