The Seduction of Wine - Sally Marbry
She was brought to us by the Crusaders. Wearing violet, her dark skin was so intense that she did stand out, and now with her straight forwardness, she is sexy, tragic, and a bit angry.
Maybe all this stems from her confusion about her original heritage. I know her parents were from France, the Northern Rhone area, but I heard she had a relative from Central Iran. This, to me, just adds to her intrigue.
When she arrived in California, in the 70’s, she blended well with others. I think the complexity of her scent, of all things, was the main attraction. Even I love her peppery smell with a hint of blackberry, but what do you expect from such a spicy gal.
She is very popular in Australia too. Such a darling that they nicknamed her Shiraz and that caught on for her even in South Africa and Canada where dedicated audiences invited her into their homes, tenfold.
Her popularity was probably from her high tolerance for alcohol. She lit up a room, always upbeat, and I heard, on occasion, she was drawn to smoke.
I guess there still is the mystery of her having an offspring, a small sturdy little thing, thick skinned one might say, but being so petite, you have to fend for yourself somehow. This little dynamo also became quite popular, taking after her mother so much that everyone called her Sirah, Petite Sirah.
I think I will invite sexy Syrah over for dinner this weekend. I know she just loves my spicy beef stew. Yes, Petite Sirah can come too, but Syrah will always be the favorite of mine.
I can drink her down almost any night. Que sera sera.

with straw colored hair. Besides this dark inviting visual, I admire her fortitude.
Coming from a truly blended upbringing, I know she knows how
