The author, Anne Kaestner, has been studying the Bible for more than thirty years and has compiled certain facts that should interest even the most skeptic of readers. For these are just some of the questions answered among the pages. And everything is Bible based! Everything is backed up by scripture references! It has been said that the Bible is the best selling book in the world. Unfortunately, however, it is the least read and studied. Too many Christians rely on their church leadership or some television evangelist to tell them what the Bible says. And often the only scripture that is spoken about is that which promotes the doctrines that the church chooses to focus on. This may include encouragement to pay tithes, or to push some particular political agenda. So most people miss the buried treasure hidden among the pages. However, the Bible has a tremendous wealth of information about spiritual matters that goes way beyond our everyday lives. God wants us to know the reason why we were put on this earth, who are enemies really are, and where we can get the power and wisdom to fight back against unseen spiritual forces that attempt to control our destiny!

    Other subjects discussed in the book are occult arts, astrology, Ouija boards, and séances. Have you wondered about haunted houses? Are there really spirits in them? If so, are they the ghosts of people who once lived in the house? This too is discussed in the book. Chapter One is “The Earthly Influence of Evil Spirits.” It begins with a true story about a man who was raised in a haunted house. It talks about him sleeping in his room as a child, and watching a robe on the back of his door suddenly fill out as if someone was wearing it! It mentions how he would sometime have to sleep on the living room sofa when his parents had company. Then, after the lights were turned out and everyone was asleep, he would hear noises as if a party was going on. When he would turn on the light, the noise would stop! This chapter goes on to discuss such things as UFO’s and false visions. Chapter Two, “Warnings of the Occult”, starts out discussing the weird experiences of people from all different walks of life. This includes some young men who were hiking in the woods one day when they came to an area where they sensed a strange eerie presence. Without warning one of the men was quickly levitated up in the air! The chapter goes on to discuss numerology, Chinese horoscopes, tarot cards, and the like. Chapter Three is “The Devil, Demons, and Darkness of this World.” It talks about Satan’s hidden kingdom. It answers questions like, “Where did he come from” and “How does he affect our lives?” Chapter Four is “Demonic Harassment.” It discusses the weird experiences most of us encounter in our everyday lives. It includes such things as looking for something that is really there, but being prevented from seeing it. The final chapter is “Satan’s Favorite Techniques.” It discusses how the devil influences our lives, the temptations he causes and the traps he sets for us. And what we can do about it. This book should be exciting reading for everyone who has ever wondered about the hidden spirit world among us.

    Anne Kaestner is co-founder of Bible Believers Fellowship, Inc. with her husband Eric. She is the Vice President and Executive Director. Anne also functions as Secretary of the Corporation, and is involved in all major Executive decisions. She attends all Board of Directors meetings, as well as any initial and/or important meetings with professionals hired by the Corporation, including legal, banking, and accounting services. Anne runs the office and is also in charge of personnel. Aside from all of this, she has pioneered our efforts to purchase, at a drastically reduced price, the numerous Christian role model books that we distribute free of charge in correctional facilities nationwide. Anne is in charge of spiritual and doctrinal matters, as well as most written communication. Except for an occasional inmate testimony, she does all of the writing for our publication “The Good News Letter,” most of our mass produced literature, and most of our ebooks. She is in charge of all counseling, the majority of which she handles personally. She is actively involved in researching information that will assist us with our newsletter articles and similar literature, including our “Answers To Your Questions” series. Besides this, she personally reads any and all books and screens all videos that we purchase for distribution. And she was the original liaison between the video suppliers and this ministry. She arranged for the BBFI imprint in our role model books and worked to ensure that we receive copyright clearance on all the Christian videos that we distribute to prisons and jails.

      Chapter One

      The Earthly Influence of Evil Spirits

      The Haunted House

      When I was eleven years old, my mother went back to her native England for a four month visit with her family. She took me and my two younger siblings along. We stayed at the house of my maternal grandmother, whom I called Nanny. During that period, we had ample opportunity to talk to Gordon, Nanny’s lodger. Gordon was a recently divorced man in his mid-thirties who had rented a room in Nanny’s house. He was intelligent and held one of the best paying jobs in England. He was a photographer for The London Express, which was the British equivalent of the New York Times. He told us that he had been raised in a large, old, haunted house. He explained how, as a child, he would occasionally watch a dressing gown hanging up on the back of his bedroom door suddenly fill out as if someone was wearing it. He informed me, on another occasion, that there were times when he had been forced to sleep on the sofa in his family’s living room when his parents had entertained overnight guests. Sometimes during the middle of the night, when everyone else was in bed, he’d suddenly hear a commotion going on around him, as if there was a party right there in the same room! He’d turn on the light and suddenly all the noise would stop. No one would be there! He’d turn off the light switch and instantly the noise would return. Then he’d hear voices, as if unseen beings were having a conversation around him. One day Gordon and my mother were talking to each other and I overheard Gordon state how, right in the same air that we breathe, there is another unseen world. He wasn’t looking at it from a Christian perspective, but the Bible tells us the same thing. It is the spirit world! That’s what pastors and evangelists have been trying to convey to people for centuries!

      Do you remember when Jesus was tempted in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-10)? The Lord never disputed Satan’s claim on this world, albeit temporary. In His preincarnate state, Jesus created the world (John 1:1-3, 10-14). Satan had originally been created as a Holy, Heavenly angel. You can read about his fall into sin in Ezekiel 28, where he goes under the alias of the Prince of Tyrus, or in Isaiah 14, where he is called the King of Babylon, and later, identified by his original name, Lucifer (vs. 12 KJV). He had initially been formed in perfection. The Lord had created Lucifer to serve Him, the same reason that He created all the other angels, but
