    Bill Mays releases a new tale set in his fantastic world of EL. This is the story of a young would-be music student that wants nothing more than to be accepted into The Emerald Spires Academy of the Arts. It is the finest artistic school on the continent with lists of those waiting to enter enrollment from across the world. Aeloo, daughter of a simple maid, has found her way in albeit as a handmaiden to the headmaster's daughter. Her life takes a surprising turn when the school falls into the path of a power-hungry nobleman of a shunned province. Politically motivated abductions lead to a whirlwind of an adventure for the young girl and a handful of her friends both old and new. Somehow the fate of an entire country drops into her hands and she has very limited time to figure out how to set things right and avoid a full-scale civil war. Luckily, Aeloo has a quick wit and penchant for getting out of bad situations. She will be forced to mature at a rapid pace as danger, mystery and romance seek her out. Legends of heroes long gone and a gift of musical talent jump to the forefront as her once simple life takes a turn towards the impossible. Will she be strong enough to handle the stress, or will disaster claim the country of Rapect?

    I currently live in Commerce City Colorado with my husband two dogs, and two cats, though my work carries me all across the country and beyond the borders as a flight attendant and an instructor for other flight attendants. I have a degree in studio art, have been an actor and professional artist, as well as many other things, but I have found my love for writing which stems from my love of role-playing games and reading. Fantasy adventure is my absolute favorite, though science fiction follows at a close second. I have learned that writing is good for my soul.       In this charming little fantasy adventure tale, a young girl is forced into the role of heroine of the people while coming to understand her self and her feelings as a young adult. One of the most enduring elements of this book is the fact that three young women, the heroine and her friends, are the saviors. Well worth the read and full of magic and wonder plus a healthy dose of romance to boot.
