About this ebook
A cliché often heard from experienced magicians is that if they can find one routine/trick in a publication they will be satisfied. At the outset the author guarantees that the reader/viewer will be satisfied seven times over. Here he offers seven routines he uses frequently. Most are his own creation and he guarantees that the more experienced card workers will use every single routine! It is professional strong material. The routines are extremely commercial and always get a massive reaction. They really are that good.
The author/performer is aware that material like this is usually only offered by specialist dealers at very high prices. He has been criticized for this by other professionals. So be it.
There will be some difficult moves to learn. They are not easy and the novice will have to put in the time to learn them and perform them. But understand that magic is not about moves or double lifts and difficult sleight of hand. It is about entering into a relationship with a person or people whereby you can lead them to experience magic.
Like in my previous publications How to be a Mentalist, How to be a Mentalist II, In Mind, Time Flies and McCoy’s Miracles: World Class Card Magic I also offer here something rather unique and of supreme value to the student. Every routine has a video link to both performance to live audiences and explanations. There are also links to teaching the various “sleight of hand” techniques necessary for the execution of these powerhouse routines. In effect the student is getting a DVD as well as written explanation
This is top notch professional material. If the novice wants to take it on then that is great. The instruction is clear and the video links are invaluable. With diligent practice they can be learned even by the novice. They are however geared to the more experienced magician. These are McCoy’s Miracles and they are indeed world class

McCoy's Miracles II - Ian McCoy
Introduction
A cliché often heard from experienced magicians is that if they can find one routine/trick in a publication they will be satisfied. At the outset the author guarantees that the reader/viewer will be satisfied seven times over. Here he offers seven routines he uses frequently. Most are his own creation and he guarantees that the more experienced card workers will use every single routine! It is professional strong material. The routines are extremely commercial and always get a massive reaction. They really are that good.
The author/performer is aware that material like this is usually only offered by specialist dealers at very high prices. He has been criticised for this by other professionals. So be it.
There will be some difficult moves to learn. They are not easy and the novice will have to put in the time to learn them and perform them. But understand that magic is not about moves or double lifts and difficult sleight of hand. It is about entering into a relationship with a person or people whereby you can lead them to experience magic.
I mentioned in my publication McCoy’s Miracles: World Class Card Magic – that there is a myth that people don’t like card tricks. I reiterate here that this is simply not true. People just don’t like bad magic full stop. People like good magic – they LOVE great magic. They like good card tricks – they LOVE great card MAGIC.
So why do I say magic instead of tricks? As in my previous publications these routines are designed to take your audience to a place where they experience magic; that childlike sense of wonder and even awe where their sense of reality is shifted. The magic happens in their minds – what they are experiencing is impossible, there is no possible explanation. The brains of the spectator in seconds, goes through all its files to explain what happened. It can’t find an answer. It gives up …..and in that second the moment of astonishment occurs. It is for 99% of people a very pleasant experience. Suddenly the adult becomes the child. This is magic. Tricks are the tools – the magic is real.
There are also links to teaching the various sleight of hand
techniques necessary for the execution of these powerhouse routines. In effect the student is getting a DVD as well as written explanation.
I finish the introduction with the exact words I finished with in McCoy’s Miracles:
This is top notch professional material. If the novice wants to take it on then that is great. The instruction is clear and the video links are invaluable. With diligent practice they can be learned even by the novice. They are however geared to the more experienced magician. These are McCoy’s Miracles and they are indeed world class.
