What you hold in your hands has the potential to radically transform your life. It changed my forever! It made me realize that as much as I wanted God in my life, I didn't truly know him. I wasn't experiencing God's love like I really wanted to. I didn't understand God's grace towards me. I was also completely oblivious to the New Covenant that Christ secured for me. I considered myself to be a su

    Introduction

I was hoping that the title of this book would get your attention. Does the title of this book make your blood boil? Do you attend a God pleasing church, or does it just please you? God must love everything that's going on in the church...right? Look at all those holy people in there. You won't find a more perfect group of people who have their act together. The pastor preaches out of the bible every Sunday, so it's got to be the truth...right? Does everything that your church promotes align perfectly with what the Lord Jesus Christ came and accomplished? Every church of course believes that their teachings validate Jesus' message and the Holy Spirit's ministry, otherwise they wouldn't be teaching them. But does what they teach embrace the gospel message or is it in many ways anti-gospel?

Does God hate the church? Is he angry with the church? Is he ready to turn the church into a pile of ashes? I believe God is definitely not pleased with many of the church doctrines that are being taught. I believe God is frustrated when he hears faithless prayers with no authority propelling them along. I believe he's perplexed when the church doesn't take advantage of the New Covenant of his grace, forgiveness and love, especially when it was sealed by holy, righteous, sinless blood (his blood). I believe God is confused with how he's being misrepresented. I think he's disappointed with how little the church knows about his true nature.

One Sunday morning we were listening to someone read from the bible in Sunday school class. They we're trying to pronounce a difficult name in the Bible. They struggle with the correct pronunciation and finally the pastor spoke up and said, "It doesn't really matter how you pronounce it because no one is going to really know if you're saying it correctly or not. Everybody laughed at the time and he was right. We were all ignorant of the correct pronunciation. Did it really matter in the scope of the lesson...no. Did it change the meaning of the message the teacher wanted us to grasp...no. But God forbid we alter the truth in the scriptures because no one is going to really know the difference!

When it comes to the truth we have to get it right. We shouldn't just try to come close and no one will really know the difference because of ignorance. That's why the Holy Spirit was deposited in us, so that we would have a helper to be constantly with us. We've got to have a complete grasp of God's message, the Holy Spirit's mission and Christ's atonement. Any misinformation that falls short of the truth is just religious calisthenics that waste our time and drains the life out of our faith.

God is trying to transfer information about himself to us all the time. He tries to speak to us through prophets, through Jesus, the Holy Spirit and through his holy word (The Bible). The Holy Spirit is a phenomenal source of truth if we will listen to him. He's our helper, comforter and teacher and he's passionate about his mission in us. God knew we needed the fullness of his divinity to walk with us throughout our day. That's why he filled us with his spirit and power from the high Heavens (Luke 24:49). God wants us to know the truth about his nature and our new nature.

Could this whole book be wrong? YES...I'll be the first to admit it...and I'm the author! It's up to you to seek after the truth, find the truth, read God's word and listen to the Holy Spirit. It's not about me being right, that's not what I'm about. Infact, I ask God quite often, Is there anything I believe that's not based on your truth Lord? Spiritual truth has got to be at the heart of everything we believe, speak and do.

I believe, based off what God has spoken to me down in my spirit, that everything in this book is absolutely true. I wouldn't have committed two years of my life to writing it if I didn't believe that. I wrote this book to help people get out of religious bondage. Life is too short to not take advantage of all the freedom, power and anointing that's been deposited in us.

I think God wants something more as far as his relationship with you. God doesn't want you to do more for him. He doesn't want you to spend more time in prayer. He doesn't want you to clean up your act. He simply wants you. He wants your heart. Yes...he wants your time, energy, talents and resources, but first and foremost he wants you. That's it.

God admires you, he's infatuated with you. He watches you when you sleep at night. Why...because God is love...that's who he is...and we're the object of his affections. God's spirit radiates with love...and he wants your spirit and his spirit interwoven together forever so that we can know him completely. That's what God wants...and he wants you to desire that also.

I know for certain that God loves the church. He loves you. You're the church. The building you assemble in is not the church. With all our faults, failures and dysfunctional living, God still loves us. He knows we're in a process that's going to take some time, and he'll take us through it if we will allow ourselves to be influenced by him.

    Section - 1

    Did You Know You Have

A Body, Soul and A Spirit?

The church is not teaching people that they are comprised of three entities. They have a spirit...they have a soul and they have a body. This information is foundational before we can understand scriptures and interpret them correctly. So why has this foundational teaching been overlooked by the church for so long?

The very God of peace will sanctify you wholly. I pray your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 5:23

Although you are one individual, you do consist of three distinct parts. You have a body, a soul and a spirit. The body is obvious to everyone. You're completely familiar with it. Everyday you touch it, clean it, care for it, pick at it, scratch it, evaluate it, feed it and pamper it. You know exactly the moment you have a head ache, a sniffle or a pain. You know everything there is to know about your body because your central nervous system is connected directly to your brain. Your brain is perfectly designed to perceive what your body is telling you. You know a lot about your body because it communicates to you constantly.

Your soul is the part of you that houses your thoughts, desires, emotions and attitude. Your soul contains all the attributes that encompass your personality. It's the part of you that your friends, family and co-workers are familiar with. You are completely in touch with your soul. You can even look in the mirror and see some of the attributes of your soul. Your face: smiling or sad, worried or discouraged, will express what's going on in your soul. Your voice will reveal if you're anxious or fearful. Your body will sweat or shake when you're nervous. In the same way that your body can be hurt physically, your soul can be hurt emotionally. Someone could say something to you that hurts your feelings and your body would react by crying. Your soulish realm can be touched and influenced in a constructive or negative way. Your body reacts to the soul and your soul reacts to your body. They know each other well.

But there's a part of you that you may not be familiar with. You can't see it in your bathroom mirror. You can't always feel it in your emotions. That part of you is your spirit. Your spirit is a separate but extremely important part of you. You're not only a human-being but you're a spiritual being as well. The supernatural part of you is going to live forever. It's never going to die. It's the part of a person that most are completely unfamiliar with. It's harder to detect because it's within you. It's the part of you that communes with and touches God. Your body and soul are directly connected to your brain. But your spirit is not directly connected to your body or your soul, that's why you can't perceive it as easily. I've experienced moments when my spirit was totally in control of my body, mind and soul. But that doesn't seem to happen as often I would like it to, but those moments are unforgettable! Have you ever experienced God in that way before? Christians should be much more comfortable operating in the spiritual realm rather than the natural realm, but that's typically not the case.

All three parts are extremely important. Many people may not feel like their spirit is that important; but they feel like their soul and body are very important. I mean without your body you wouldn't even be here right now and our emotions are how we experience and enjoy everything in life. You wouldn't be you without them. But our spirit has an extremely important function that has been completely overlooked by the world and sad to say the church. If you're a born-again Christian, your spirit is where God resides.

Jesus said, "Your spirit must be born a new to enter into the kingdom of God. Your first birth (of the flesh) was very important, but your second birth

(of the spirit) is even more important. John 3:5 & 6

Contrary to what the church has taught, it's not your soul that's saved when you accepted Jesus as Lord. It's your spirit that gets saved. Your body also didn't get saved. Your body and soul have been purchased through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ but they have not been redeemed yet. Only your spirit has been purchased and redeemed. It's the part of you that's completely filled with God's spirit, but it's also the part of you that Christians have a difficult time perceiving.

Right now you may be thinking, why is all this so important? Who cares if it's your body, soul or spirit that was saved, as long as you end up in Heaven...right? The bible can be so confusing and most people don't have the time or even really care that they consist of three separate parts. Most Christians consider themselves lucky to be able to make it to church once a week and pray over a few things throughout the day. But the truth about your new born-again spirit is going to radically impact how your faith works and how you experience God. Your born-again spirit is going to help you interrupt every scripture you read. Understanding what happened to your born-again spirit when you got saved is going to change how you relate to God, love God, know God and trust him. The information in this book can drastically accentuate the level of intimacy and passion you've always desired with.

    Section - 2

Your Born-Again Spirit...The Part Of You

    The Church Doesn't Talk About

Most churches don't teach born-again Christians about what happened to their new born-again spirit the moment they got saved, because they don't understand what happed themselves. That's unacceptable! This information is critical for a Christian to be victorious, successful and thrive in Kingdom of God.

A person who has not accepted Jesus as Lord has a dead spirit. Their spirit has not been touched, transformed and filled with the Holy Spirit. They may be a great person, an outstanding citizen, a community leader, a loyal spouse or even a generous philanthropist. They may have very high morals. They may live a very wholesome life, but if they don't accept Jesus as their Lord and savior, then their spirit has not been born-again and their eternal security is not in the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:3, Acts 4:12

Unfortunately, most churches don't teach Christians about their new born-again spirit, they focus primarily on how people's actions need to change. They teach people what they should do and what they shouldn't do. But there's so much more to the Christian life than never missing a Sunday service and acting like you're happy even though you're hurting and miserable. Christians sing four songs in church with no thankfulness or passion in their words. There's no intimacy throughout the week with the Lord. They try to act like good Christians are supposed to act, but they soon run out of religious
