If you find yourself reading this small piece of a memoir from an isolated man, I have a request that you complete. It is of extreme importance. You must burn these papers so that the rest of our civilization does not come to grips with them. I fear they may find the truth that I desperately sought. They may come to the same conclusion as I. By now, you are asking yourself why I even chose to write them down. To be honest, not even I am sure why I chose to document the truth that took me many, many years to acquire. I can only deduce that somewhere within my mind I still believe that knowledge is a bubbling brook. Though even some water should not be drunk. I will let you, my reader, decide your fate.

For years now, I have chosen to stay locked away in the depths of my self made prison. I can no longer find it within myself to socialize with the common folk. Too often have I found myself pondering how I have allowed it to get this far. But... does it really matter? No, no, I don’t believe that it does. I mean, when you get down to it, what are the benefits of socialization? A courting relationship? A friendship? The ability of wit? These are not things that I prize. They mean nothing. Where would the human civilization be if Isaac Newton had troubled himself with small talk? Or a wife? I’ll tell you where we would be; we would be without any knowledge of common physics, wondering why we were still held to the ground. It is only in true selfishness that the human race can benefit. Yet, I can only believe this posited theory while thinking about the individual within myself. I suppose that that is my selfishness. Though I have tarried off subject. I would like to go over the last time I gave it a shot at socialization.

It would be extremely remiss of me if I did not give an accurate account of the events that lead to my last encounter with people and subsequent death of faith, so I will begin by giving you a little background into my persona during this period of my existence. Years prior, I had already begun to question the meaning of everything. I had formulated an idea about people but had not come to any conclusions regarding everything.
