      2 The Essence Of Flirting--Getting the Girl of Your Dreams

      Before we elaborate on the secrets to flirting successfully, let's define what flirting

      exactly is. The Oxford Dictionary tells us that "To flirt is to behave as though sexually

      attracted to someone, but playfully rather than with serious intentions." That's quite a

      long definition. For the moment, let's focus on the first part: to flirt is to behave as though

      sexually attracted to someone. Later we take a closer look at the playful intentions of

      flirting.

      Knowing how to behave as though you're sexually attracted to someone can have a great impact on your life. It can be the difference between a successful date and rejection. In the long run, flirting successfully can even mean you'll find a great life partner instead of ending up single.

      There are certain guys who can attract women like a magnet. However, a lot of guys

      haven't enough experience with flirting, and when they try to flirt, they look clumsy,

      rude, or even pushy. Many try one line or approach, and if it doesn't have the desired

      effect, they give up. They conclude they will never understand women and they just

      can't flirt. Unfortunately, the girl they dream about will never show up in their lives.

      2.1 Understanding The Problem-- Not Flirting The Right Way

      When guys fail at flirting, where do they go wrong? There are various reasons, depending on the type of guy.

      One type often feels frustrated because girls don't seem to notice him. Often he is too shy to even talk to girls. Or he babbles too much to them. Sometimes he's afraid to take the initiative and stares at girls, wondering why they never approach him.

      Another kind of guy complains that girls see him as a nice guy, a friend, and great girls

      only want to date bad boys. It's true. In his fear of being called a jerk, this guy tries to

      impress girls too much, which makes him look needy. In the end, he will hear the four

      words that he hates most, Let's just be friends.

      In truth, getting cast into the friend zone can be a guy's worst nightmare when it comes to flirting and dating.

      Finally, there's another type of guy who acts like a player by making fun of girls, negging

      them or generally acting like a jerk. This guy will use the b-word a lot when he talks to a

      girl and believes all he has to do is snap his fingers to order one. Other than those girls

      that ARE easy to pick up, most girls will ignore this type of guy as being rude. Bold

      sexual advances can be a powerful aphrodisiac, but they can completely ruin your

      chances with a girl if you make them too soon.

      One trait about girls is really true. Flirting is about subtlety. Being too aggressive when

      pursuing girls turns them off.

      And flirting successfully? It's way easier than you think. No matter the kind of guy you

      are, you CAN easily flirt your way to getting girls once you know the secrets.

      The French seem to be flirting with everyone, and French men and women often flirt in an informal, natural way without a forced or expected sexual proposition behind it.

      2.2 The First Secret--Find The Right Balance

      To get a girl interested today, things have changed dramatically for guys in a civilized

      society. The caveman instinct still tells a guy to chase women and skip the flirting all

      together. But girls expect him to behave and follow certain unwritten laws called

      flirting BEFORE he can conquer them.

      But what ARE those rules of modern courting? First, it's obvious that girls have a say in

      choosing their sexual partners much more than before. If you take that in mind, modern

      courting doesn't differ that much from the raw rules the hunting cave dwellers used. Both

      men and women still desire those assets that aren’t easy to get. When they come too

      easily, we take them for granted. The same goes for people. If they get too predictable,

      we find them boring. On the other hand, the assets we have to work hard for, we still will

      value most.

      So, men have always liked to hunt after creatures that run from them. Did it ever cross

      your mind that a girl likes to fight for a guy too? That maybe she doesn't want a guy

      who's so obviously chasing her? That she likes to work for a guy's approval? And that she will reject any guy who is trying to buy her favors with abundant attention,

      compliments, or gifts?

      Here's the problem. When you intentionally try to impress a woman, you send signals

      that are killing the sexual attraction you want to build. By working too hard to impress,

      she will think: 'I don't deserve you and I'm afraid to get rejected. I need your approval

      to feel good about myself. Which also implies: I'm not confident, and can never protect

      you."

      There are different reasons for this urge to impress a girl. One reason is that a lot of guys behave like they have a low social status. They think people don't like them. They are insecure and suffer from fear and jealousy. Most of the time, they are not aware of this low self esteem and their insecure body language. When they fail in flirting, they tell
