A full constructional guide on building the front and rear wheels for PYRTE the Pull You Round Traction Engine, complete with drawings and pictures to build this 1 and 1/2 inch plus scale traction engine.
It's the most inexpensive pull you round you can build and is aimed at the first-timer with its simplicity.

Front and Rear Wheel Construction
The front and rear wheels are what we deal with in this chapter, and we’ll start with the rear wheels first as these may appear to be the hardest to complete for anyone new to model engineering.
Basic Rear Wheels.

These rear wheels are super expensive...
Not in money terms, but in time and physical effort - as these parts require the most donkey work with this engine build.
And the good news???
The rims are quite readily available in the form of disused gas cylinders.
You can reckon on around 3 or 4 hours to make the basic pair – still a huge saving when compared to conventional traction engine wheels – okay, not quite so good
