      Introduction

      1 Corinthians 12: 4-7 (New International Version)

      4. There are many kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same spirit. 5. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6. There are different kinds of working but the same God works all of them in all men.

      7. Now to each one the manifestation of the spirit is given for the common good.

      No matter when, where, or how we come to Christ we are all indwelled with a gift meant to be used in service to others. Our true fulfillment is found in service. The spiritual gift of encouraging others through the message of wisdom is the motivation of the prayers of this book. God has not left us without encouragement; through the living word we have a multitude of examples of how God encourages us, through his prophets, through our circumstances, and through the circumstances of those around us. These are the same contingencies God uses to grow us up in Christ, circumstances, the word of God, and through others.

      The prayers and messages on the following pages are messages which were shared by a heart for God, some for the author herself, and others from the author to other believers. But all for the Glory of God!
