About this ebook

A very warm welcome to "The Essential Potty Training Guide". Being a mother of two children, I will never forget how frustrating it was to teach them how to use the toilet. I wish I'd had a strategy then.

This publication aims to bring you just the facts without the filler and to guide you through without making the same mistakes I did.

Note that in this case, patience is definitely a virtue!

Hi, my name is Patricia, I'm 42, married with two young children and apart from being an aspiring author, I'm a very busy mum. I've always kept diaries and journals so writing has always been in my blood so to speak. Writing books however is a lot tougher, especially when trying to please an audience. I hope you find my books helpful and rewarding.

    Foreword

Welcome To The Essential Potty Training Guide

Potty training is an essential and critical developmental milestone for children. Learning how to effectively control the bowels and the bladder is not only an important milestone, it is also a necessary social skill for a child. As with any basic skill or concept, training a child to take responsibility for their bowel movements and when they urinate will require patience and understanding. While it is true that most children have the ability to successfully regulate when they relieve themselves between the ages of eighteen months old and three years, you should avoid pressuring and pushing your child to accomplish this task before they are ready. If you pressure a child that lacks the physical and psychological development to use a toilet appropriately, you will consistently find yourself bombarded with a wide array of complications.
