About this ebook
This eBook is an excellent, helpful guide to planning, writing and finishing an interesting, conflict-ridden book that is worthy of publication.
With fill-in-the-blank questions, deadlines and schedules this eBook can help the dedicated writer plot a book, create a first draft and then work through revisions to produce a property formatted manuscript.
"Two pages a day will result in at least two full drafts in a year."
This eBook also guidelines for dealing with the middle-of-the-book blues and working with writer's groups.
This is not a write-a-bestseller-on-your-lunch-hour book. It is a reasonable, practical guide to completing a quality book with a well-planned plot.
Using this guide there's less of a chance that the pages you write will end up half finished, thrown in a drawer.
"You can't write a book by just sitting down and writing"
For serious writers only.
Steven Browne
Steven E. Browne self-published one of the first books on computerized video editing. "The Post-Production Primer" was quickly adopted by several well-known universities. Browne revised "The Post-Production Primer" for the technical publisher Focal Press. "Video Editing" continued its original success being the primary text for many more university and commercial post-production classes. Browne wrote several additional books for Focal Press. "Video Editing" went through four full editions in its fifteen years of publication. Browne's sci-fi novel, "Protecting the Source" received an enthusiastic review from the American Library Journal. The book sold out its initial print run and was pitched to several movie studios. His second novel, "Holly Would, But Stacy Won't," is a quirky love story about a cynical novelist being ensnared by a couple of female movie producers with murder on their minds. Steven E. Browne is no stranger to publishing. He has self-published using offset printing, perfect bound, spiral bound, print-on-demand, and eBook. He lives in the Pasadena, California area and writes every day.

Four brief apologies
One
Many examples within these pages refer to movies. Sometimes it is easier to cite a film seen by millions, than a book few have read.
Two
I have tried to alternate gender assignments to keep the reader on her toes.
Three
The description of the 3by3 Writing Method has been delayed a few chapters so that the reader can get started right away. If you want to read the overview of the 3by3 Writing Method skip to Chapters Four and Five.
Four
Not everyone wants to know how to publish a book, but many writers need help in finishing their project. The 3by3 Writing Method Workbooks are divided into separate editions. This one is designed to help you complete your manuscript.
Two pages a day equals two drafts a year.
Chapter One: The Million Dollar Bestseller
The 3by3 Writing Method is not a write a bestseller during your lunch hour
manual. But, if you follow the 3by3 instructions, write every day, in the same place, at the same time, finish several drafts, join one or two critique groups, and have a professional proof-read your book, you can complete your novel and be published.
The goal is to help you:
Write several concise paragraphs that describe the basis of your story, its conflicts and major plot points.
Develop a plot plan with at least fifteen detailed scenes.
Create six balanced characters (three good, three bad) with internal and external conflicts and one conflicted antagonist.
Find reference books and websites that offer help for writing, marketing and publishing your book.
Complete an interesting manuscript, properly formatted and proofread, that you can market or self-publish.
Chapter Two: The Marathon
I was working on my third novel, my twelfth book, churning out lots of paragraphs and chapters. I thought I had it all under control. Then it happened. I crashed into the dreaded writer's block. Stalled at 150 pages I was unhappy with what I'd written and had no idea know how my story ended.
It took a variety of events and several years of exploring my internal motives to bring the 3by3 Writing Method into focus. As a result of that journey, I created a
