5 Magic Rocks - Cathleen Conley

Gavin decided to pretend he hadn’t heard his mother’s request. But she knew he had heard and when she found he had not touched the clothes, Gavin had his computer time taken away for a week. He’s not going to have much fun if he doesn’t learn to listen to his mother.

    THE END

If you don’t like the ending, you can always read it again and make different choices.

Gavin reluctantly pushed his blocks aside and put his troll into his pocket for safe-keeping. Then he went upstairs to his bedroom. His shirts and pants and other clothes were in neat stacks on his bed next to a pile of Thomas the Tank Engine underwear. Gavin grabbed the underwear first and stuffed it into the drawer. He was so glad none of his third-grade classmates knew he still had Thomas underwear. He had picked them out years ago and his parents refused to buy him new pairs until he outgrew the ones he had.

Before he could grab the next stack of clothes, Gavin was interrupted by his little sister, Jaina. Jaina was only in kindergarten and didn’t have any pictures on her underwear.

Hey, Gavin, Jaina said as she walked into his bedroom. Want to go outside with me?

In a minute, he said. Mom said I have to put my clothes away.

Jaina rolled her eyes at her brother. Just stuff them under the bed. Mom won’t know.

Gavin froze holding a bunch of neatly folded shirts against his chest.

Should he stuff the clothes under the bed or put them away properly?

Don’t forget to click on a choice. The story won’t make sense if you read straight
