This is my go to book for quilt blocks. You could spend hours searching on the www, or just open this book and find everything you need. Super-clear instructions.

Some of the blocks in this book have great possibilities, some are more limited. I would like to have seen some images of full quilts in this book instead of having to imagine where secondary designs will come into play. As for the scribd version: The formatting for Scribd is perhaps a little unfortunate. For ex, while the block image and the pattern for each design cover a page each, at least on my screen they split so that you have the pattern for the page before next to the next block image, so the visual doesn't match. Also, there is no link to the printable templates for this book as there is with many other quilting pattern books on scribd. I'm an experienced quilter of 40 years, so I can figure out almost any block pattern, but beginners will be far more challenged when trying to draft their own blocks from the image/directions in this book. I have not seen a hard copy of the book, but if you are a beginner you'll likely want a hard copy. Otherwise this is good for inspiration.
