The contrasts between the concretized cityscape of the first part of her life and the bucolic landscape in which she now lives are a continual source of bafflement, wonder, and inspiration for her. She teaches at the University of Haifa and writes fiction that tries to make sense of the four dimensions of muddle in that tight corner of the world. Sivan's short stories have come out in American and British journals. This is her first published collection.view less
