Taking notes, journaling, writing poetry, stories, blogs, dreams, and lesson plans - there is never a time when she isn't writing in some form or another. In 2013 she married her husband, Craig, and became step-mom to a special needs child. In 2017, the focus of her writing started to change. Going from, primarily, non-fiction, to fiction - with a focus on mental health issues. Her own journey of learning how to help her son created a passion for learning about brain science and mental health issues. Interestingly, the more non-fiction books she read, the more she desired to write fiction as a way to more easily explain the things she was learning in all those non-fiction books she was obsessed with.About that same time, she co-authored a book with a friend who was going through trauma counseling for things that had happened to her in her childhood. The book they co-authored together was about those same experiences and was published in 2019 with the title The Fire Within The Cult. It was the writing of this book, and the research and reading she was doing on brain science in order to best help her son, that she realized she wanted to write stories to help people better understand invisible disabilities. This is how the Mylin Valley Series came about. When she isn't writing, or reading about brain science, Angela homesteads with her husband on their 3+ acres of land in Huntsville, Utah where they keep nine chickens, two goats, three cats, and two dogs.
