He was educated and graduated from the Hasting Schools and immediately after was drafted into the United States Army where after a short basic training he was shipped to Italy to join in active duty in World War Two. Anthony served two years in the army.
In 1946 Anthony married the love of his life, Elizabeth Gernivivo and they had three children.
Anthony continued his education at Westchester Community College, White Plains, New York, with adult evening classes in masonry and building construction. He became a successful masonry and building contractor and eventually taught these classes. Anthony was most proud of being part of constructing the military library at West Point, New York. He continued his education throughout his life also becoming a licensed Real Estate salesman.
Along with building projects Anthony enjoyed studying Civil War History.
When Anthony finished writing his book he told his wife, Betty, that he would like to see it published, however, he died before that was accomplished. Betty is now making his dream of telling his story come true with his incredible, true life adventure, ‘A Boy Named Bones.’view less
