As a self-published author, by day this quiet and unassuming man works in an office - but by night he pens epic tales of love, horror, betrayal, war and, um, vampires - while listening to atmospheric and progressive dark metal masterpieces.
Al's first and, at present, only book - The Fall of Night's Blood - was published in December 2013 and has attracted the attention of literally dozens of people (even some people he does not personally know).
Having taken Al five years to write, The Fall of Night's Blood is the first book in the Nocturnal Supremacy series, and he plans to write three or four more books (although he is not certain at present because he really is just making it all up as he goes along). The second book - Watchers at the Gate of Dusk - is currently being written, but don't hold your breath (unless you actually are a vampire, in which case it will be out in the blink of an immortal eye).
In 2014, Al was nominated for a laziness award in the most poorly promoted book category.
Plans for a website are under way (and have been for quite a while now), but as this is likely to jeopardise success in winning the aforementioned award, progress has slowed considerably.view less
