About this audiobook

Palmer Lewis married a liar.

But just how deadly are his lies?

Shortly after marrying her soulmate and the birth of their son, the lies begin.

First, it's the phone calls, always held in secret, always deleted from his phone.

Then it's his odd disappearances and the little nagging voice in her head screaming: something is not right.

When Palmer follows her gut -- and her husband -- she catches him with an unfamiliar woman in the park and in his biggest lie thus far. Learning from her past, she hatches a plan to protect herself and their child. But when her husband and son disappear one afternoon and don't return, Palmer must retrace her steps and dig deep to discover the truth before it's too late.

Who is the mysterious woman her husband lied about meeting? Who knows what happened to her family? Who's lying?

In this twisted psychological thriller, the better question is, who isn't?

    Lame Ending!!
Things were going so well until chapter 27, when out of the blue, the author has to do a white privilege/apology act with a character who is black. There was no build up to it and nothing mentioned after it. It was just a put there to show a little woke-ism. Then, there was the climax and it was just lame. Time I can't get back.....

Oh wow! This was just a journey! I absolutely loved the story line and all the twists. Some things was kept as a secret but it's good if you have something to guess.

Did Kiersten Modglin really write this book? I've read a few of her other books and they were good. This was so bad. I did listen to it in it's entirety (with hitting the fast forward button several times for over wordy parts)
The main character Palmer makes dumb move after dumb move. It's ridiculous.
If you must listen listen to it for an hour and then go to the end and save yourself time you cannot get back.

Kept me hooked!! Good narrator and well paced thriller. I had a hard time fully figuring out what was going on until close to the end.

Giving this 4 stars only because the person narrating this book was not good... but the book itself was wonderful, and the end was WOW!!!!

Such a generic thriller story and sadly too predictable. Parts of the storyline in Chapter 24 were not mentioned anywhere else in the book and felt they were inserted unnecessarily, with no prior or after follow up in the book to understand the meaning.

Petty good and entertaining. It kept a fast pace which I thought was smart. Towards the middle of the book, the story went a little off the rails with some ideas that don't make sense for the characters. Overall I recommend the read!

Oh no, Dee Harvey. I’m so sorry your racism ruined the whole book for you based on a perfectly good, normal, and important two-minute conversation in chapter 25 (not 27). That’s so sad, Karen. Maybe you should get over your own privilege.

This was a good story, 4 stars, but the ending brought it up to 5 stars, the whole time I was thinking the story started with different eyes then it cleared and there it was clarity.

Great story but the ending was unexpected and I’m still deciding on whether or not I liked it….

I finished this…it feels like an accomplishment but took me forever because So much of this book was unrealistic. I can’t imagine wasting my time with another book by this author. Hard pass.

    Spoilers!

REALLY??! A woman who had huge trust issues put her finances in the hands of a man she has known for less than a year? Really she went back to work after a C-section TWO weeks after giving birth? Really her husband continued to lie and lie and lie after all that? WTF.

Wow! Seriously wow!!!! Great book and kept me on the edge of seat. I started this earlier this afternoon and finished it just a few minutes ago. I haven't read or listened to anything in one sitting in over eight years. However, The Liar's Wife, was so good I simply couldn't stop.

The only complaint I have about the book are the beyond terrible police. There were too many things they missed and should have done but they were sitting on their laurels. However, even with the shoddy police work the book was still amazing. I'm giving it 5 stars.

This is my 2nd book by the author and although I never enjoyed it as much as the first it was a quick and reasonable read. Few twists that I never guessed or seen coming, particularly the last one. Palmer was a bit annoying but it is still worth a read in my opinion.

It was a lil slow in parts. But the twists made it worth it all.

This author has written so many excellent thrillers but this is not a great one.
