Not a pleasant listen. Not just the subject matter, but the characters. These are not people I want inhabiting my brain. Most were sick, sick, sick individuals. Even the good people, I.E. Grace & Shane, Cissy and the male detective, not one was someone I'd want to sit and have beers with (that's how I define a good person - someone you'd want to socially interact with at a human level). It held my interest, and I wanted to find out what happens, but it was a slog. Afterward, I just felt like I needed to take a shower. The book could have been shorter. Many themes and ocurrances were covered then covered again, lots of repetition. A good editor could have cut about 20% of the book, and it would have been tighter and moved forward better. Often times I couldn't tell if I was in the past with Ted Bundy or in the present day with a character reading one of his letters - it was confusing at times. All in all, not one of Mr. Olsen's best, but he's a really good author, and I will read more of his books. The narrator did a decent enough job, but it's hard to grade her since the source material was just really hard to listen to at times. This is not a great work of fiction. On to the next.

Decent enough and really held my interest. The end of the book was very anti-climactic. I didn't know it was about to end it's like it just stopped in mid-sentence. Still a decent book with lists of twists, turns, multiple characters and past and present tense scenes as well.
