About this audiobook

Brothers Cole and Tinn are finding their way back to normal after their death-defying
journey to the heart of the Oddmire. Normal, however, wants nothing to do with
them. Their new friend Fable, daughter of the Queen of the Deep Dark, wants to visit
the brothers at home. She promises the queen she’ll keep quiet and hide herself and
her magic from the people of Endsborough. But when Fable, Tinn, and Cole discover
humans destroying the Wild Wood and the lives of its creatures for their own dark
purposes, Fable has to speak out.

As the unspoken truce between the townspeople and the inhabitants of the Wild Wood
crumbles, violence escalates, threatening war—and bringing Fable’s mother closer to the
fulfillment of a deadly prophecy that could leave Fable a most Unready Queen.

The second book in the Oddmire fantasy-adventure series from New York Times
bestselling author William Ritter brings readers more monsters and new mayhem as the
trio battle to protect their homes.

Another great adventure into the Wild Wood and the nearby town. This one features the characters figuring out how to arrive at a peaceful resolution when the townspeople get riled up to rise up against the forest folk. Love the message that differences can be solved without violence, and that even though there's never been peace between two groups doesn't mean that it isn't possible to live in harmony. The narrator did a surprisingly vast array of distinct voices. Quite impressive.
