About this audiobook

Is there evidence to believe the Gospels?

The Gospels-Matthew, Mark, Luke, John-are four accounts of Jesus's life and teachings while on earth. But should we accept them as historically accurate? What evidence is there that the recorded events actually happened?

Presenting a case for the historical reliability of the Gospels, New Testament scholar Peter Williams examines evidence from non-Christian sources, assesses how accurately the four biblical accounts reflect the cultural context of their day, compares different accounts of the same events, and looks at how these texts were handed down throughout the centuries. Everyone from the skeptic to the scholar will find powerful arguments in favor of trusting the Gospels as trustworthy accounts of Jesus's earthly life.

This book is a relatively short, but full apologetic for the trustworthiness of the gospels. It covers just about every argument that a lay person might come across in a discussion with someone who doubts their veracity.

Peter J Williams has made a convincing and scholarly case for the reliability of the Gospels by arguing from a number of angles through evidence, logic and reason. It's easy to understand and engaging even as an audiobook.

A great systematic review of internal literary evidence indicating the reliability of the Gospels as credible witnesses to Jesus of Nazareth.

Great presentation of the authenticity of the Bible and the Gospels more specifically. It takes a little more concentration to follow the arguments for Scripture reliability but that's because his arguments are I'm depth and VERY well researched.
