She said, I said, Michelle said. It is really hard to listen to this. But also the story itself is not that fascinating. Patriarchal, religious, absolutely not my kind of stuff. Once or twice the narrator hat to re-read some passages, that is not cut out, as it usually is in audio books. SHE SAID

Painful to listen to. The narrator made the main character sound very rude. I stopped midway through, it was boring me more than the long drive.

Can't rate this. Subjectively, a dredge to listen to. I kept on to the end, though, mainly because l couldn't believe it could be this bad. It was not clever enough to be satire, but could it seriously be thought of as a novel?!? I'm still not sure if it is. It is branded as a "cosy mystery" at the end. Oh my! To me it was unbelievably boring. And objectively, mostly made up of clichés. To many "she said"'s to count, as well. So the best l can say about it is l learned one thing: If "cosy mysteries " really, seriously! exists as a genre, it is not for me.

I enjoyed the narratoion. It was calm without sudden noisy outbursts. The story was cheesy but it was just what I was looking for.
