About this audiobook

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn’s second book in the Getting Lucky series brings heart, humor, and heat back to Port Snow.

There are two little words every small-town man dreads:

She’s back.

Harper Sanders, the girl who was supposed to be my forever, has returned to Port Snow, Maine, for good—and she’s bringing back memories of our shared past.

We once had a bright future together, but when tragedy struck, I threw it all away and pushed her out of my life. People in our small town think I’m cursed, but I know better. I did it all to myself.

And now she’s creating a life of her own in the place where we first fell in love. I can’t fight my feelings for her—or the strong attraction that keeps pulling us together. But after all this time, can she forgive the past and fall in love with me all over again?

Everyone hopes to find that forever girl…I just hope I haven’t lost mine for good.

Entertaining but gaps in the storyline... many have to do with the first book in this series (Wren)... kind of odd to me how Claire shows up more than Wren does... and some of the details from the first book were transferred to different characters (Briggs as an extra)... and his vehicle type... just little details that bug you if you’re detail oriented! Otherwise it was not bad!

I don’t like going back and forth in time so that’s the main reason I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first one but other than that, I thought it was a good read.

28 chapters of agony the most IMPORTANT issue was not adressed. It feels like he is selfish and takes advantage of her

For me, this book started out slow and I considered not listening but boy am I glad I stuck it out. It got better and better as it went on!

Good story but I just can’t take this narrators voice seriously. It reminds me of the sarcastic guy from Rules of Engagement and didn’t really suit the character.

Harper and Rogan were best friends since sixth grade, then a couple, and finally engaged when it all goes wrong and they separate. Seven years later Harper returns to Port Snow, the small town in coastal Maine where they grew up and must confront her ex. Rogan returned home after their breakup, but he's remained morose and driven, even though he was the impetus for the separation.I didn't read the first book in the series, but it doesn't matter; this is a stand-alone book. I enjoyed the characters, especially in the flashbacks to how their relationship developed. Harper's growth was well-done, though the resolution to the reason she returned home was a little anticlimactic and rushed. Rogan in the present was difficult to like at first, but the author does a nice job in bringing out the reasons for his behavior and making the changes in him believable. The New Orleans curse bit was a little hokey, I thought but didn't matter really. This was an enjoyable second-chance romance read, and I'll definitely see what the next two Knightley boys get up to.
