Descrizione

The USA Today and New York Times best-selling author of the “raw, powerful, heart-wrenching” (Robyn Harding) Saving Beck delivers a riveting and heart-pounding story of a crumbling marriage rocked by an affair — as betrayal and jealousy begin to consume both wife and mistress, forever intertwining their fates.

He’s mine.

That’s what both Tessa and Lindsey believe about Ethan. But after getting caught in an affair months ago, Ethan ended things with Lindsey in an attempt to win back his wife. Lindsey refuses to let go of the relationship so easily and begins stalking Tessa. Tessa, still shattered from Ethan’s infidelity, finally hits her breaking point and snaps, devising a plan to lure Lindsey to her home one weekend when her husband is away.

Told in alternating perspectives and set over the course of a weekend, Mine explores the emotional complexity of infidelity and its aftermath and what happens when those two scorned women finally meet face-to-face.

Great read from beginning to end it grabs you and doesn't let go.

The story was interesting, but predictable. Good narration. A decent read when you are in the mood for something simple, but exciting to read.

It started off weak with the narration grating on my nerves and was almost a dnf but as I read further, I found that I became engrossed in the story. I ended up even kind of liking the narration although I never got to the point of loving it.

    3.5 stars

I just couldn't put it down! Well written and well read by the narrators. Fast paced and never a dull moment.

I loved the wife hated the mistress and desperately wanted to hear the husband's view point. Overall it was a great book.

I am so happy that I gave this book a try and listened all the way through. I wasn't sure this was going to be a storyline that I would enjoy or even get very far into. In retrospect, my opinion is that a lot of women could take something from this story. There's a little truth for everyone, even if the circumstances are different. I highly recommend listening to this or reading it without any preconceived ideas of what it will be about.

Kept me on the edge of my seat and I just had to keep listening. It was gripping and had a great twist that made me learn to like one of the characters

It’s a good book... but the main character is in a state of panic most of the time and listening to that was giving me anxiety. I feel like this is one I should have read myself.

Enjoying the story and how it goes back and forth to Tessa and Lindsay, before and current. The only issue is the “F” word used so lightly.
  • (3/5)
I liked the narration but the story was just okay. I felt as if it ended very suddenly and wanted there to be more to the story than basically one long confrontation.

Great reading by Caitlin - she kept me fully engaged. Her energy and pacing was excellent. For anyone who has been in a situation like this - Courtney Cox’s writing touches many nerves. She creates a story that is credible and provocative on many levels and I imagine for many will resurface lots of emotion. Thank you.

The book was very well written and kept me intrigued throughout, but the narrator was AWESOME, she made this book that much better!

Amazing. Just Amazing. It was crazy, intense, and you could just feel the rage in your soul. That's what I like in a book and that's exactly what I got.
  • (2/5)
I did not like either of these women and thought they both went too far, and the ending was rather unsatisfying for that level of crazy.

Very well written. It is definitely a thrill ride and really pulls on your emotions. Highly recommend the audiobook to bring a personality to the characters!

First off, the cover of this book intrigued me for sure. Then the description made me open the book, well let me tell you, I started the book and had it 80% done in one sitting, I then finished it up the next night. This is the classic story of a man who betrays his wife and has an affair with a much younger woman. What isn't classic is what happens in the story. We learn about the wife Tessa and the mistress Lindsey. The reader is able to follow the story of one man's infidelity and supposed love for his mistress. Tessa is a high powered woman with a successful business, three children and a marriage that she is happy in. Lindsey is a twenty-something woman with a young child that lives with her mother. She is going to school but really has nothing else going for her. She meets Ethan and thus the affair starts. There is a hurricane hurtling toward Florida, Ethan is away in New York, the kids are away so Tessa plans her revenge. She persuades, in the guise of Ethan, Lindsey to come to their home. Saying more would give away too much of the story. That said, I can't believe how fast I was able to read this book. That does not happen very often lately, usually takes me a while to read a book. From the first page until the last, I was hooked. The story just flowed so well for me and the story of a woman who has a husband who cheats on her, I also had this happen to me so I could relate, is so believable and with the book focusing mostly on Tessa and Lindsey, it is a page-turner. I loved it!Love psychological thrillers? Then you have to go get this book!

This is the second book I have read from this author. Just like the other book, I really enjoyed this one. I will be reading more books from this author. Right away I am drawn into the stories as well as connected to the characters. It is not often that I actually feel sorry for both the wife and mistress in a story. In this case, I did. There was more to Tessa and Lindsey than just being 'wife" or "mistress". Ethan so deserved what he got in the end. I liked that the main focal point of this book was the women. Told from alternating points of view, gave me a deeper and better understanding of each woman. Plus, I thought it brought me closer to Tessa and Lindsey, experiencing the book this way. Once I started reading this book, I could not stop reading it. It ended up being a one day read for me.

Excellent story. The narrator for Tessa was AMAZING. Great ending as well.

It was pretty good. Entertaining. Felt like it dragged a bit at certain parts but overall well done.

I Didnt even get to chapter 7 before I gave up.on this book. I'm not sure if the author did it on purpose but I just cannot stand one of the characters so much that I cant finish the book. The mistress is a dizzy, stupid woman. The only thing she cares about is the approval of a man she has (at this point) met once. She is incredibly selfish and I just cant stand it. At one point she forgets to call her son (a promise she made) because she was "too busy thinking about Ethan". If the mistress wasnt written as a pathetic, stupid woman I definitely could have got into this book, as the story seemed to be going somewhere interesting.

Tessa is a successful, happily married woman that finds out her husband is having an affair. Home alone during a hurricane, she entices her husband’s mistress, Lindsey to come visit. What ensues is a struggle to come to terms with her marriage and her relationship with her husband. As the story unfolds, we learn via each woman’s point of view what they feel for this one man and what they believe is the truth. Easy and quick read that could not only play as a Lifetime movie, but an Off-Broadway play. It kept me interested but not totally satisfied at the outcome.
