Stella Grant likes to be in control—even though her totally out of control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart. No exceptions.
The only thing Will Newman wants to be in control of is getting out of this hospital. He couldn't care less about his treatments, or a fancy new clinical drug trial. Soon, he'll turn eighteen and then he'll be able to unplug all these machines and actually go see the world, not just its hospitals.
Will's exactly what Stella needs to stay away from. If he so much as breathes on Stella she could lose her spot on the transplant list. Either one of them could die. The only way to stay alive is to stay apart. But suddenly six feet doesn't feel like safety. It feels like punishment.

Rating: 5So much love for this book! I laughed, smiled and of course cried while reading this book. It's not one of those sappy everything is perfect love stories., it's even better. It did rip my heart out at one point and I cried like a baby, fair warning have tissues ready.

Two teens fall in love in a hospital while fighting a disease called C/F. The problem is that they cannot get within 5 feet of each other. I decided to read the book after watching the movie, although that’s not usually the order people choose to do book to movie adaptations. Going into this book I wasn’t expecting alot. The story is told in alternating perspectives between Stella and Will and I thoroughly enjoyed both narratives equally. They complimented each other so well and I really felt for them. It was cute and from what I’ve read of John Green this would be perfect for fans of his books.
I have mixed feelings about the ending of this book. Yes there was some moving moments but in reality people fight for happiness and there’s not always a positive outcome. That’s life however I really got annoyed with the ending. Yes I did check if there was ever to be a second book or movie to this original and as a result no such luck. It was supposed to be open ended and was supposed to leave readers in suspense of what Will and Stella would do in the future but that's not what I like as a conclusion to my books I’ve read.

The readers were good, the story was definitely a tearjerker. I had waited to read this because I wasn’t seeing the best reviews l, but I feel like they were too critical as it was a good “read”.

The book overall was pretty good except for the cringeworthy insta-love concept throughout! It would have been perfect if the author would have made the time span a bit more expansive. Also, wth was that ending?!?!?

A respiratory therapist played a big Part in this story and that was refreshing. The medical aspect was fairly accurate. The story was definitely YA abs read like a John Greene book. It was a sweet love story, with some tragedy. I’m interested to hear what cystic fibrosis families thought about it.

A very ironic love story that makes you appreciate life! Stella and Will are such unique characters, and there's a nice blend of medical background information, but it's not too much to take away the magic of the story.

I really liked this book. I enjoyed the characters and learned a lot about CF. I deducted a star because the ending seemed rushed and and unfinished. I can’t wait to see the movie. It’s definitely a good read and I recommend it.

I love this book. I love the movie. I love the narrators they are good will and Stella's. So sad but such a good love story. Highly recommend if you like tear jerkers
Rating: 5I’ve never felt more emotion for 2 people in love with limitations keeping them apart. But also, knowing that no matter what, love will always keep them connected. I’ve felt this before with Lou & Will (Me Before You) and happy I’ve found it again with Stella & Will.

Rating: 5This book was so adorable! If you need an uplifting, pull on the heart strings type of read, this is the one! I gave it a 4.5 because it didn't have that mindblowing plot twist that I like. That "I totally didn't see that coming" element that makes me give books 5 stars. Definitely will recommend!

It took me a little to get into, but I didnt want to stop. I am SO glad I didnt stop! This book had me crying! I listen to audiobooks at work and it took everything in me to not sob out loud. Lol. Great read! I could just see Cole Sprouse!

If you read TFIOS then you'll hardly be surprised by this one, but it's still a cute, quick read with charming characters, great performances by the audio narrators, and a good ending.
Rating: 3The terminally ill love story theme of this book reminded me of The Fault in Our Stars. I loved that book so I was drawn in. The play on it being a toxic relationship was just not my cup of tea, but I don't fault it, just because this book is written for young adults and this "love that you would die for" is very normalized and wished for. I love the characters, so over all this book is worth the read.
