About this audiobook

NBA player, Leland McClain, the baby of the McClain family, is tall, handsome, talented . . . and spoiled. He's a man who gets what he wants, and what he wants is the lovely Kimberly Hampton.

Kim Hampton is the director of a community center, a woman who lives to help others while trying to forget a troubling past. As far as she's concerned, a relationship with any man is a horrible idea. But a relationship with Leland McClain? That's just out of the question.

He has to have her.

She is undeniably attracted to him.

But will she lower her guard and let him hold her?

Contains mature themes.

I loved this book. However the audio playback would cut to the next chapter mid sentence toward the middle of the book.

Leland and Kim's story shows what can happen when you have Love and Patience for one another, you wind up getting all that you need and more.

Just give me a Leland McClain, Effvret, Nolen, a cousin or someone. They are just everything a woman could ask for in a real man.

Another amazing love story. There were occasions when Kim worked my nerves. Her relationship with her son was very unusual. He acted more like her man than her son. I'm glad Leland didn't allow her to have things her way because she wanted to keep their relationship a secret. It gave her the courage to stand up for herself.

I found the MMC a little too controlling for my taste but I also liked the romantic dynamic he had with her. This dealt with gun violence and domestic violence so please note that while picking it up.
And I'm glad the pineapples and the uncle made an appearance on this one too. Those are legit main characters by now lol!

This was my second fave book, solely cause of Leland tho. Kim was kind of annoying but I love that they worked it out in the end. Leland just like the rest of his brothers, is protective loyal and a true definition of a well raised black man. I read all the books and now I wish there was more. Can we get a book about Uncle Lu. Cause I could definitely listen to him all day lol

Let Me Hold You was good but, it wasn't nearly as good as Let Me Love You. I spent most of the book ticked off at Kim. She constantly sabotaged her relationship with Leland because of her insecurities and her past. Her relationship with Armand completely weirded me out. It was borderline inappropriate on his part. However, the book was still funny, sexy, and raunchy with plenty of LOL moments. There was even a jaw dropping plot twist I didn't see coming. While I liked book one better, I'd still recommend Let Me Hold You.
