some useful information, but the book tends to repeat itself alot. The book could have been much shorter and still got the same message across

Excellent book, and would give 5 stars, but where is the included PDF that he mentions 500 times?

Awesome. Must read for any runner, beginner all the way to experienced.

Like how this simplifies a significant part of training design and has some good takeaways for most if not all endurance athletes. I have definitely suffered from the trying to replace low intensity with less high intensity expecting equal gains. When I have time to exercise I struggle to not go hard and therefore can rarely go long.

I was intrigued by the concept. Very detailed and can be confusing to listen to. imagine the hard copy/pdf version would be more helpful given the visual nature of the charts and tables referenced in the book.

Pretty short book overall to read, and yet definitely padded. The book's basic whole philosophy is to get you to run slower more often then HIIT. Personally I felt the science section wasn't expanded on enough to really *prove* the case. It was mostly anecdotal, though compelling, data that this is the workout style most elite runners use. But I'd love some more graphs and analyses of the actual biology of why it works.

Anyway, by far the most important section are the actual running plans. Otherwise you can get everything you need from his website, 8020endurance.com, which has the workouts, how to test yourself, how to set your zones, etc...

This book does need an update to take into account running power, like the Stryd pod, which the website does have, but a new version of the book would be nice too.
