Descrizione

A summer in Italy turns into a road trip across Tuscany in this sweeping debut novel filled with romance, mystery, and adventure.

Lina is spending the summer in Tuscany, but she isn't in the mood for Italy's famous sunshine and fairy-tale landscape. She's only there because it was her mother's dying wish that she get to know her father. But what kind of father isn't around for 16 years? All Lina wants to do is get back home.

But then Lina is given a journal that her mom had kept when she lived in Italy. Suddenly Lina's uncovering a magical world of secret romances, art, and hidden bakeries. A world that inspires Lina, along with the ever-so-charming Ren, to follow in her mother's footsteps and unearth a secret that has been kept from Lina for far too long. It's a secret that will change everything she knew about her mother, her father - and even herself.

People come to Italy for love and gelato, someone tells her, but sometimes they discover much more.

A Simon & Schuster audio production.

I love audiobooks that have a voice for each character. This narrator took me through Italy and Lina’s journey to learn who her father is. I felt like too many things happened in just the span of a week? Otherwise, a good contemporary

This book uses imagery to describe the beauty of Florence, Italy. It also describes feelings of grief and passion incredibly. I even learned a little Italian! For example, “Ciao” means hello and goodbye! I would truly recommend this book for an engaging and entertaining experience.

A very enjoyable book! The narrator wasn’t quite my favorite but I loved the story. You kind of get two love stories in one, all set in the gorgeous city of Florence. Get ready for wanderlust!

This was such a sweet story. I loved the interweaving threads, from Lina dealing with her grief, to handling her new ‘family’ in Italy, to investigating the truth about her mother, to the journal, to her budding relationship with Ren. This story just kept moving, and I loved hearing about all the elements of Italy throughout. :) I would definitely recommend this to fans of YA, Eat Pray Love, Mama Mia!, and The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Cute, fun, mystery, adventure, first love, etc are all things you’ll find in this book. If you listen to the audio version the Italian words/phrases used are in wonderful accents, and the male voices are spoken by men. I would love to see this story continue.

It's Soo cute and fluffy. Ren is one of the best male love interest I've read about . And the food has me starving and craving for those deliciousness. The descriptions of Italy was so beautiful. And it dealt with a lot of important topics such as losing a parent to cancer and the grief associated with it and many more .

It was such a cute love story. It's kind of tragic, in a way, but it has a happy ending that makes everything wort it. Also, the growth of the main character is great to read about

I really liked the flow of the story. There weren't any parts that were drawn out too long and the dialogue was entertaining. The book flowed at a great pace and the characters were very relatable. I loved it!

A cute YA read with Mama Mia vibes. I found the initial premise a little troubling with how Lina's mother sends her off so soon and with such little information. If you like this, please try out Wanderlost by Jen Malone involving an American teen traveling in Europe, lots of calamity, and love.

Cute book, love the story and how it’s like her mom guiding her through her time in Italy. Cute love story, cheesy ending but what else is new with romance novels. Feel good book overall.

Started off well, but the story had too many holes. Lina was really annoying the farther along I read.
