About this audiobook

Now with new exclusive material!

Experience the internet's most talked-about book, now a major motion picture, from Anna Todd, the writer Cosmopolitan called “the biggest literary phenomenon of her generation.”

There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything AFTER... Life will never be the same. #Hessa

Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.

But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, and tattoos, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.

But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.

He'll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.

Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin's prejudice about nice girls like her?

Unless...could this be love?

No redeemable qualities. Young girls should not be reading this book. It not only promotes toxic relationships, but glorifies them sickeningly. PLEASE do not read this book!

Really a sad book. I hope no young women listen to this and think that the way Tess is treated is normal. It is abuse.

I wish I could rate this lower. The severe toxicity in this book is gross and had me rolling my eyes every few minutes in disgust at Tessa ignoring the abuse and Hardin’s creepy stalker-ish possessive ways. Think twilight meets 50 shades of grey, but worse. In all honesty, I think it was made especially unpleasant by the narrator of the audiobook. Sorry, I had high hopes, but this was just bad.

These characters are toxic. Why romanticize abuse? This isn’t sexy and it certainly isn’t love.

What the?? I don’t get why they made this terribly written, painfully immature book into a movie? It’s awful. So, ridiculously awful. The writing is high school level, and the immaturity and unrealistic monologue of the main character is borderline unbearable. I was sooooo ready for the book to be over but I thought there was no way I was going to put up with the narrator’s squeaky voice for hours and hours without finding out what Hardin was keeping from her. I am so beyond frustrated with all of the time I wasted on this. The movie is so much better, and I have to say that I can count on one hand the number of times I have ever felt that way. Do yourself a favor and just watch the movie on Netflix, don’t read or listen to this poorly written disaster.

Holy shit. So the only reason I even decided to give this a try is bc it is all over my Instagram and all of sudden caught my attention after having zero interest in it at all since it came out. This book is definitely all kinds of problematic. Like it’s basically just a book full of toxicity and the end really had me so sick to my stomach. With all that being said, I still loved it haha I did not expect to enjoy it this much and it took no time at all but I am definitely hooked now. *shrugs* Also, HARDIN IS AN ASS HOLE!!! Maybe Tessa will get with Trevor and they’ll live happily ever after. Yeah..right!

I really enjoyed the book, reminding back of high school days, Tessa goes to College, has perfect boyfriend, but meets Hardin, bad boy. Good Girl falls for Bad Boy. But Will bad boy Hardin change for Tessa (Teresa). Or will he hurt her? First book to a series... I cannot wait to read the next.

Dude so many plot twists and it kept me hooked!! Finished it within 3 days and I hate Hardin so much but I also love him so much. Tessa is amazing and my opinion of steph has changed so much. I’m starting the second book tomorrow and plan to finish it just as quickly.

I am not sure what to say about this book, I started reading this book looking at a you tube video clip, and I thought :) if someone had the time making a video of their favorite book it must be something worth while reading, also apparently over a million people worldwide read it online. This book blew me away! Harry is a total jerk in most parts of this book, and one of the most alpha males characters I have read in a while, but he is also sweat and charming sometimes. Tessa my hart is breaking for you literally, I must say I am not sure I will be able to face love and friends afterwords. The cliffhanger at the end was cry worthy, wow again ;) this book is like taking a roller coaster ride. It is authors like this that make reading so much fun.

This entire series broke me. The narrators make it even better. Don’t read it unless you want to be obsessed and get your heart broken over and over.

This series had me captivated and read / and listened to all four books in I think what was 4-5 days!! Legit did not even sleep.
Honestly I don’t usually read fiction and this is the first one in a while that I red. It affected me a lot made me sick to my stomach and I found myself terribly sick with the things Hardin did to Tessa and as much as you are carried away with such a strong love, Id probably never forgive the things he has done to her. Loved the story but it left me very troubled with the message it is sending out thinking that he smashed her life and shuttered it and somehow it says that if someone is fucked up and struggling and went through trauma than it’s fine to accept this type of shit from them when really it’s not. I when you read all of them you get great life lessons and wisdom from these experiences and I loved them. But I can’t keep my disgust to the fact that it is somehow legitimize such horrible actions and assholes like Hardin. It’s very troubling to like a character that is so so selfish and I feel like the redemption should’ve come earlier in the story cause honestly it was like a blow after a blow.. haha great book if I got so invested in this story

So disappointed. This is a long arse book, that I just found drilled on with pain in the arse main characters, then in the very end, it’s all go and boom! Cliffhanger... WTH. All that for nothing ugh.

Love the book but I’ve been having major audio issues with almost every book on the app. First I was having problems with the audio stopping but now with this book it just keeps skipping chapters. At the very beginning of the book it skipped to the first party scene

Couldn’t finish it. She is a protagonist without a personality apart from the fact that she’s vulnerable. He’s an emotionally abusive nob.
This book really glorifies abusive relationships.
Incredibly frustrating how Tessa treats her long term boyfriend throughout. She cheats, he tells her to cut contact with Hardin and instantly she goes to him.

Much better enemies to lovers/grumpy sunshine tropes.
(Heart smart, Bergman brothers, simple wild)

This was an amazing guilty pleasure that filled the gaping hole left after being sucked into the Twilight and Fifty Shades series. Entertaining to the bitter end!
