I have mixed feelings about this book. For the first book, I enjoyed the intriguing angelic world and liked Violet as a character, but I didn't really liked the way the romance played out.

In this book the adventure/action side of things was great, and I like the idea of the scriptures. Meeting the pair of soulmates, and the rollercoaster that sent them on was also interesting. And of course, the chemistry between Licoln and Violet was amazing.

But.. I have two peeves about Enticed. Firstly, Phoenix. I felt that his sudden hatred of Violet and his want to kill her, was a bit crazy. It doesn't make any sense for me- maybe for an unstable psycho exile, but Phoenix seems pretty balanced. A guy shouldn't want to kill a girl- shouldn't even contemplate killing a girl (he had mixed feelings) just because she rejected him after he betrayed her. Perhaps if Jessica had explored the idea of his wanting revenge because Violet's mum killed his mum in depth, it may have been slightly more believable.

Further, it was excrutiatingly predictable. The traitor, Violet's angelic parent, the mastermind behind all of it... I was pleading in my mind whilst I read that it was all just Violet making wrong assumptions, but alas...

But anyhow, it was a good read. And although the third book won't be at the top of my reading list, I'll definately give it a chance. :)

Fiction; Romance2.5 starsThis story was okay. It had all the makings of a good story, but something felt a little 'off' throughout the book between the leading characters, Rafe and Bryony. The character development was limited and the plot was a little to "yellow brick road" for me. While a few things happened along the way, clearly there was a path that the author was going to walk you down while holding your hand. In other words, a bit to predictable and kind of boring. It wasn't that the idea was terrible, it just seemed as though it could have been so much better. I feel that Banks' work is much better than this particular story reflected.Enticed by His Forgotten Lover was an mediocre story but not one that I would recommend.

This book was courtesy of NetGalley and Harlequin."Have we met?" Answer: a right hook! Because Bryony Morgan pulls no punches. Even when she's very pregnant and facing down the father of her unborn child. She fell for wealthy hotelier Rafael de Luca when he courted her for her beachfront real estate. Then he disappeared. Now, she's in New York for answers—and she won't accept a brush-off. But selective amnesia after a crash has Rafael puzzled. How could he ever forget a combustible beauty like Bryony? Solution: return to the island where they met, and relive the unforgettable nights in question—until he remembers everything… I absolutely love this book. Of course I've never read anything by Maya Banks I didn't like. This is one of those short sweet feel good reads. Rafael does some of the best groveling I've read in a while! I adored the character of Bryony's grandmother, she was so cute and feisty. I highly recommend this book!

Requested on NetGalleyOverall Rating 3.5Story Rating 3.5Character Rating 3.5Note: This was the first book in a new series by Maya Banks and I think we are in store for 4 unique stories. I can't say that I have read to many pregnant women romance so I was unsure of what to expect. This was a pretty darn good read! What I Loved: Maya Banks has a way of making you understand the motives and emotions of her characters even when you don't like them for it. She did a perfect job with Rafael, even though there was a point I wanted to kick him a shins. You know a character gets to you when you want to interact with them! I really loved Bryony and my heart ached for everything to work out well between them. What I Liked: This was an interesting twist on an amnesia story (won't give anything away) and it played out well. I really liked Rafe's friends and can't wait to read their stories.Complaints: I felt the story lagged a little in the middle but that section worked well with the end. I think it had more to do with my not quite trusting Rafe. Why I gave it a 3.5: Maya Banks weaved a very unique love story that pulled at my heartstrings and a leading lady that I cared about deeply!
