About this audiobook
When Annie grabbed at what looked like an opportunity to escape her tumultuous, abuse-filled home, she had never heard the term "sex trafficking." Needing money, wanting to be loved, and desperately seeking control of her life, she stumbled into the ever-darkening world of the sex industry as a glamorous, high-class escort in Las Vegas. All that glittered was not gold. She embarked on a dangerous path toward self-destruction. She lost everything she envisioned her new life would bring her, even her own identity. Beatings, abandonment, and death threats became routine - she often wondered if dying would be the best way out.
In Fallen, Annie tells her remarkable story of surviving sixteen years in the sex industry, breaking free, finding healing, and then reaching back to help others find freedom as well. This riveting memoir opens a window into a sordid, shadowy world - and shows just how bright God's light can truly shine.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The remarkable, heart wrenching story of one woman's journey to freedom. It is a must read.
Told with a raw frankness that fiction fails to achieve, Annie's story shows there is a light at the end of the tunnel, hopelessness can be turned into undying hope, and the horrors of abuse, guilt, wretched despair can change through the power Christ's redemption, grace, mercy and forgiveness.
It is of vital importance we see and realize the dark truths of exploitation, and sexual slavery exposed in this unforgettable volume.
You will smile, you will cry, but ultimately you will find what true hope, peace and love really mean.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Gut wrenching, informative, heart-breaking, teeth-clenching and an ABSOLUTE MUST READ/listen.
I call for loving parents, caring pastors, teachers, neighbors & natural-born protectors to read this book, learn, educate yourselves and GET IN the fight against all forms of human trafficking.
As a protector, Annie's story made me want to jump in and save young "Fallen" from her bad choices and the predators who infiltrated her life. I wanted to save every girl & every survivor.
This chilling tale, grounded in harsh, spiritually dark reality, has added fuel to my personal fire, pushing me to fight for those trapped & abused by traffickers.
Decent humans cannot stand by, allowing the trade, sale & abuse of our fellow-man, women & children.
This darkness cannot be allowed to spread. We must first contain it then break free our loved ones. Even if one of us remains chained, we are all in bondage. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a powerful testimony! I cried so many times as I listened to this audiobook.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Annie Lobert’s poignant and heartbreaking testimony is powerful and will rally your inner activist! I got teary-eyed more than once and recommend this memoir to all of humanity. Sexual exploitation needs to be confronted, challenged and defeated. A must read!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Gross!
I find it incredibly hard to find sympathy or compassion for this woman. This made me feel icky. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very eye opening about what is going on in this world of things we know exist but have no clue of the life style of someone caught in it. Looking at sex traffickers through a different lens now.......
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Listen to what Jesus Christ have to say through the testimony of this amazing woman! I am a man and read the entire book. Her testimony bears witness of the brutal dehumanization of the sex industry, and how both men and women have fallen victims of this BEAST. But it also bears witness of the amazing LOVE of God through Jesus Christ, and how only HE can save sinners from the claws of pornography, pimping, and prostitution.
WHAT A GREAT EXAMPLE OF REGENERATION AND LOVE THROUGH THE ONE AND ONLY JESUS THIS BOOK IS! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I've always had a morbid fascination with the sex industry. For some reason I enjoy reading the unsettling "better them than me" memoirs and biographies ofartists, druggies, eccentrics, murderers, pimps, cults, gang members, whores, criminals, musicians, alcoholics, inmates, porno stars, Mafiosi, etc. My fascination with the not so squeaky clean, sordid stuff of life ensured that I enjoyed this story of sex, lies, and redemption. Annie Lobert didn't have a perfect childhood, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Instead of attending college she moved to the city and worked on acquiring money. Instead of staying at secure office job, she and her friends set their sites a little higher. When they learned how easy and profitable it was to turn tricks they entered into a life of prostitution. From Hawaii to Las Vegas, Annie honed her trade eventually taking on the name of her alter ego, Fallen. She was the best in the business but the years of abuse by her pimp, degradation, and multiple arrests began to take it's toll. It took her years to get out of the trade, battle her addiction and find God. Her story isn't easy to read but it's empowering that she was able to battle her demons and turn her life around. She founded a ministry in Las Vegas called Hookers for Jesus and currently helps other women escape sex trafficking. As this memoir can testify, the truth is usually scarier than fiction.I received this book for free from First Look Bloggers in return for my honest, unbiased opinion.
