- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A who done it with many possibilities and a bit of romance on the side.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It started out ok but the constant change of narrators caused me to lose interest.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It’s always difficult to deal with archaic language, and this certainly had lots of it. The story itself was engaging, but the inconsistency of the various readers was very distracting. I would hope that the “
proof listeners” would iron out some of the problems. I also question the heavily accented readers. I applaud their knowledge of more than their native tongue, but while native English speakers have problems finding the correct inflections for antique colloquialisms, I feel that they are resorting to merely reading the words. I’m looking forward to experiencing a solo read soon.
