I call foul on there being no real entertainment wrestling until the 70%! We learn that his entrance song is X Going Give It To Ya by DMX but never learn his signature wrestling move. Come on, give the people what they came here for!!!!
Look, middle school me who gasped when Stephanie McMahon decided to stay with Triple H, cheered for the Hardy Boyz, and named a gold fish Lita, kept reading this book and rated it. This honestly read like middle/high school entertainment wrestling fan fiction with its syurp-y sweet heroine and over-the-top damaged background, lacking much of a personality (we do get three or four povs from the hero), and borderline scary possessive big sexy dude. The protection of a grizzly but mostly acts like pooh bear; his personality was definitely off kilter.
This was so over-the-top and dreamy girl fan fiction-y and it's a book one, as in the heroine and hero's story doesn't end. This was fine for a slight nostalgic trip to my old WWE fan days (no mention of this in the story, just with it staring a wrestler it made me think back to those characters) but I'll be stopping here and not continuing with their story.
