- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Not as mechanical as some of Krentz's books are, so that's plus. Her books now remind me of comfort food -- nothing fresh or new, but you know what to expect, you know it will be a quick and pleasant read. years ago, her books had some genuine emotion in them. Nowadays, not so much.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Deception Cove is classic Harmony story-telling.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Alice is a light bender, Drake can see dark light. Between them they make a formidable team. When the island on Rainshadow starts getting "hot", Drake is determine to save the island and he needs Alice. As usual, I enjoy the books by Jayne Castle, aka Jayne Ann Krentz, aka Amanda Quick. The mysteries are not complicated but can throw twists at you and the romance is always a fun read. The Castle books are set in another world, Harmony. It is fun to go back to Harmony and see how it is both the same as earth, and vastly different. There has been nothing written by Krentz that I haven't enjoyed, so I will continue reading her books.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very enjoyable finish to the Rainshadow trilogy. I enjoy Castle's "alien" world and especially enjoy her dust bunnies.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Alice North is well on her way to rescuing herself from some thugs when Drake Sebastian finds her. He wants her to help him save Rainshadow Island from his mad former girlfriend who is experimenting with things she doesn't understand and sacraficing people to the search for results and answers. It's a fun read for me these series, they blur a bit into each other but thy are my sort of put my brain on hold and keep going reading that afterwards it makes me stand back and pick holes in it but otherwise its entertaining. The characters behavind in pretty predictable ways but I do enjoy them.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Alice North's light-talent and the cute factor of her dust bunny Houdini are just barely enough to keep them both fed with her magic act, especially since her ex-mother-in-law is convinced Alice is a murderess and continually hounds her out of job and domicile. So when darkly handsome Drake Sebastian appears with a business proposition and a marriage proposal, Alice is tempted. Trusting Drake is easy - but returning to Rainshadow Island for another honeymoon? That may take some convincing....A good curl-up on the couch for an afternoon book - no real surprises, as both plot and character-types are ones Krentz is apparently fond of, but if you're a fan it's not a bad read.
