About this audiobook
Featuring Lieutenant Eve Dallas, Remember When blends present-day romance and futuristic suspense in a thrilling two-part novel that combines the incomparable talents of two #1 New York Times bestselling authors: Nora Roberts and her alter ego J. D. Robb.
Antiques dealer Laine Tavish is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life. At least, that's what everyone in the small town of Angel's Gap, Maryland, thinks. They have no idea that she used to be Elaine O'Hara, the daughter of a notorious con man...
Laine's past catches up with her when one of Big Jack's associates turns up in her shop with a cryptic warning and is then run down in the street. Now the next target of a ruthless killer, Laine teams up with sexy PI Max Gannon to find out who's chasing her, and why. The answer lies in a hidden fortune that will change not only Laine's life, but also the lives of future generations—including New York City detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas.
In a future where crime meets cutting-edge technology, Eve is used to traveling in the shadowy corners outside the law. She will attempt to track down the treasure Laine and Max sought once and for all—and stop the danger and death that has surrounded it for decades...

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great idea to combine Nora Roberts and JD Robb. I enjoyed both stories.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5First time I have heard this love it need more
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent! Well written! Exciting! Didn’t want it to end! I love all the characters
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book whith a surprise twist. A different kind of Eve Dallas novel
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Enjoyable book. Nice to have a look back to 13 years earlier in Roake and Eve's relationship. Roberts took a different tack in this book. First half was a beginning romance and mystery for one couple. The second half was Eve and Roake still in their first year of marriage and Eve's case was a continuation of the one from the first half of the book. The conceit worked.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Remember When is two stories in one. The first takes place in present day. This story is interesting and keeping your full attention with wanting to know what happens next. It is full of mystery and heart.
The second half of the book takes place in the future with the granddaughter of the couple in the first half being involved. Although this section has an interesting storyline, it seems to drag on with some parts making it difficult to follow. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Remember When was pretty good. Part One was Roberts story and it dealt with Laine and Max. Laine's dad is a thief and was involved in a big diamond heist. Max is the investigator hired to recover the stolen diamonds. Laine and Max cross paths when a friend and partner of her dad's contacts her after the crime. I thought the mystery of this story was OK, but I really liked Laine and Max as characters. They were really good people and I was glad they were together. 3.5 stars
Part Two was Robb's story. Laine and Max's granddaughter wrote a book about how they met and their involvement with the diamonds. Not all of the diamonds were recovered and now, 50 years later, someone is killing in order to find them. Once again, the mystery was OK. However, I just love all of the characters in the In Death series. Their interactions keep me interested a lot more than suspenseful aspect of the story. 4 stars - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5My first J.D. Robb. Exciting jewelry heist and then love story followed by sequel some years in the future with tough woman cop and book out on same heist. Vert good read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I liked the first half of this but the second half dragged and felt a little slow. The descriptions were a bit heavy and it read more like a screenplay in parts rather than a novel. I did enjoy the premise but it probably could have been a very sharp short story or filled out with a little more going on.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A good story but I thought it could have been as good, if not better if it was not so long. Two books in one...I thought it could loose 100 pages and be just fine.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Part one of this romantic suspense was set in current day and part two is fifty years later. The first story with the romance was pretty good but I got bored with the second half which was just continued crime solving without romance. Laine gets drawn into a theft that might involve her father and PI Max is investigating.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book! It was really fun to follow a story from present to future.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is one of my favorite J.D. Robb stories thus far. Mostly because I have a soft spot for antiques and quiet love. Highly recommended that you read the "In Death" series at least until this short story point, but don't skimp: read this full "Nora Roberts" story... it's a brain treat.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Audiobook. This was actually 2 books in one. I loved getting to know the past story and then having it brought into the future to tie in with Eve and Rourke. Once again the narrator did a fantastic job with the voice acting. I love listening to this series. Will definitely continue.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Laine Tavish is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life in the small town of Angel's Gap, Maryland, as the proprietor of Remember When, an antique treasures and gift shop. At least, that's what everyone in Angel's Gap thinks. They have no idea that she used to be Elaine O'Hara, daughter of the notorious con man Big Jack O'Hara. Or that she grew up moving from place to place, one step ahead of the law . . .Laine's past has just caught up with her, though—in a very dramatic way. Her long-lost uncle suddenly turned up in her shop, leaving only a cryptic warning before dying in the street, run down by a car. Soon afterward, her home is ransacked. Now it's up to Laine, and a sexy stranger named Max Gannon, to find out who's chasing her, and why.The answer lies in a hidden fortune-a fortune that will change not only Laine's life but also the lives of future generations. And danger and death will surround that fortune for years to come. Until New York City detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas gets on the case.A thrill-ride of a novel that blends present-day romance and futuristic suspense, Remember When is a tale of deceit and secrets, of strong women and fascinating men-a brilliant combination of the incomparable talents of the two sides of Nora Roberts.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was my firts exposure to the In Death Series. I went back to read book one of the series and have read all the books to date. I love this series because of it's easy to read style. I really enjoy the crime and investigation parts of the book best. As for the development of the main characters, Roarke and Eve, I think Nora is pretty stuck until she introduces a kid into the picture, or some other life changing event. Afterall, there are only so many sex scenes and self revelations that can be made in every book in the series. Overall, great series when I need something mindless for a while.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Nora Roberts as J.D.Robb is a hell of writer. If you like romance with suspense and a little of the future thrown in then you will love this book.Once you start reading you can't stop.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Remember When by J. D. Robb (8/10)Romantic Suspense/Futuristic Suspense. This was the start of some holiday reading, so I decided to take some of the J. D. Robb books and a romance series for nice, uncomplicated reading. This one had a modern first half and a second half with Eve and Roarke. It was a clever idea and an okay story, but it meant neither story got the full detail it deserved.
