About this audiobook

In your hands, you hold the secret to transforming your life. Big words? Yes, but this is a plan that has already proven itself with millions of people around the world. Pastor Will Bowen developed the life-changing A Complaint Free World plan based on the simple idea that good things will happen for you in abundance if you can just leave your grumbling behind. In a Sunday-morning sermon, Will told his congregation he wanted to make the world a complaint-free zone and, to prove he was serious, he passed out purple bracelets to each church member and offered them a challenge. "If you catch yourself complaining, take the bracelet and move it to the other wrist."

Now, less than a year later, more than six million people have taken up the challenge, trying to go twenty-one consecutive days without complaining, criticizing, or gossiping, and in so doing, forming a new, positive habit. By changing your words, you can change your thoughts and then begin to create your life by design. People have shared stories with Will of chronic pain relieved, relationships healed, careers improved, and becoming an overall happier person. Less pain, improved health, satisfying relationships, a better job, being more serene and joyous-sound good? It's not only possible, it's probable. Consciously striving to reformat your mental hard drive is not easy, but you can start now by using the steps Bowen presents here.

In this book, you can learn what constitutes a complaint, why we complain, what benefits we think we receive from complaining, how complaining is destructive to our lives, and how we can get others around us to stop complaining. You will learn the steps to eradicating this poisonous form of expression from your life. If you stay with it, you will find that not only will you not complain, but others around you will cease to do so as well. In a short period of time, you can have the life you've always dreamed of having.

I listen carefully, and love the part that the author talks about a friend that feels lucky.

This is the second time I've read the book. I find the topic of this book to be just different enough from everything else that is out there that it can really make a difference to your life. The idea of becoming aware of how much you complain about things is very eye opening. After reading the book the first time, I took the 21 day challenge and can't say that I made it. But, the book has had a lasting impact on me. I have been more conscious about complaining since reading it the first time (about 2 years ago). I still complain, don't get me wrong. But, I have reduced my complaining a significant amount and believe that I'm a better person for it. This book is a quick read and can teach you some things that will make an impact on you.

A simple idea that is difficult to actually accomplish: Go twenty-onedays without complaining, criticizing, or gossiping. My husband said, "How can you do that and stay married to me?!" Afriend said, "We won't have anything to talk about!"I'm three days into the challenge and I've moved my rubber bandhundreds of times; I will not give up, nevertheless.

Excellent book. Simple concept, but hard to do. Would give it a 5 star but kept going into stories without going into here is how you do it.

This was a very quick read. And it was well worth my time. The author came up with a simplistic yet powerful idea to challenge people to stop complaining, gossiping and criticising for 21 days straight. As a monitoring tool he suggests a bracelet or coin in your pocket that you have to move from one side to the other when you slip up. The reasoning behind trying to make it to the 21 day mark is that when you finally make it to that point you will have changed your habit of complaining constantly. Nobody likes being around people that whine and complain all day, yet most of us are guilty of this negative habit ourselves. That's where this book comes in. It helps you to take a good look at your own shortcomings and shows you a way of bettering yourself. The author doesn't offer any entirely new concepts but sometimes it's nice to be reminded of the simple things. And the main lesson here is: If you speak more positively, your thoughts will follow and you will start to become a more positive person all around. And there can't be anything wrong with that, right?!

Easy to read. This book is geared toward trying to stop complaining in 21 days. It takes 21 days to form a habbit. We can create a complaint free and it is up to us to do so not just for others but for ourselves. WE can change the negatives by simply looking at the positives and being positive. The meesage I got from reading this book was it is all in our attitudes. When we are negative ect. we will be negative ect. It is important to stop complaining and be thankful when positive things happen. It's all up to us whether we want to live in a complaint free world.
