It was really different seeing a heroine that wasn't that much inclined to love the Breeds and how they do things. There was some antipathy towards Storme, but I think the author did a good job with character development and while doing that, turned this book into one of the most frustrating in the series concerning the main relationship. Really liked it!

Oh man did I hate this chick!! I really wish Styx had a better mate. She was such a brat and self absorbed! He was super delicious though. I really wish the author would follow through with her foreshadowing! Don't hint and then leave me hanging!! I used to love this series but lately it has been falling off. I will still follow and read but not quite as eagerly as in the past!

Loved the story. Of course, Lora always puts out a great story of one of her breeds.

    Quickie Review
    A pleasant surprise.

Storme gets a bad rap in many reviews but I liked her. In fact, her reactions are completely logical and believable given the traumatic events she has experienced. It is naive to think that a woman could "just get over" the things that happened to her and willingly embrace that which terrifies her. Styx is a strong and loving hero but not my favorite.

This is a good series but it is a pity that there is not more focus on the development of the conspiracy against the Breeds. Too much is left unresolved in each book.

I liked Styx's story. I love how Storme grew up around the breeds and didn't fully realize the horrors they were put through. I felt all the confusion going through Storme, Lora did a great job of letting us into her head there. I also felt all the frustration that Styx felt trying to get Storme to see how human the Breeds really are. Great installment and I can't wait to see who Navarro's mate is.

First off, the description is misleading... as far as I can tell, Storme is not virginal... So someone might wish to change the description.

Second, I find this one of the best of the breeds series. I appreciate the lack of anal sex, which has always seemed contrived to me. Styx is amazing, and I can relate to Storme's struggles. The other characters are at times without understanding or compassion that they exhibit in other books.

I will be interested to see how much longer this series extends!

Storme, has been on the run since she was fourteen years old, when her father and brother were viciously killed by breeds, she has been determined to make sure that what they are after now will never fall into their hands. But while she is on the run, she ends up being saved by Styx, who is wolf breed, but then she feels betrayed after a night of pleasure to be in the hands on Jonas and the other breeds who only want whats on a data chip, and are more determined than ever to get their hands on it. Styx knows where his loyalties lie, but after being with Storm, he knows that she is his mate, even though the bonding scent isn't fully there, but finds himself choosing between his loyalty to the Breeds or the one woman who makes him feel clean and whole....Styx's Storm is the 22nd installment in the Breeds Series by Lora Leigh. I have just loved reading this series, and I have looked forward to reading Styx's storm since it first came out and I am so glad to have finally gotten my hands on it... Styx's Storm is a exhilarting ride of adventure, passion, and love. I found both the characters enlightening...both stubborn as ox, but both feel a connection to each other, and are unable to resist the sensual heat they feel, and they become swept up in the desire and soon they start to fall in love with each other, and such a beautifully written tale of how love can conquer fear, and a painful past. A heartwrenching story that will leave you breathless!!! A Unforgettable Read!!!!

Let me start off saying that I did enjoy this book for the most part. I have enjoyed reading about Styx for sometime. I loved getting a look at his family life and the life he has at Haven. I enjoyed seeing him having a good time and relaxing. Styx is fierce, loyal, loving, and fun loving. I just wish that his mate Storme had been a little more likable. I mean she doesn't even see what an ass she has been until the last thirty pages of the book. Before that she is rude, sarcastic, mean and which unlikable. She is a spoiled child that thinks everyone is bad just because her father and brother were killed by a Council Coyote. She has been on the run for 10 years and has refused any help from the Breeds even though they have offered to hide her and protect her.I will stay that the villain in is crafty and a nasty piece of work. She has been deceiving Storme for years hoping to get what she wants. She is responsible for an attack on Haven during Dash and Elizabeth's ten year joining anniversary. Her objective was David Lyons and Cassie Sinclair plus the death of one of the Alphas and the capture of a mate. It is amazing that the Council is still so strong and determined to cause so much hate and discontent. I really think that any family found supporting the Council should have the fortunes confiscated and distributed among Haven and Sanctuary. Enough is enough. Of course my husband says that you never get rid of a good villain. We also get some hints as to the condition of Phillip Brandenmore. It sounds like he is playing for being such an asshole. I guess his little experiment to reverse aging is back firing on him. We Navarro for the first time.I am hoping that Jonas finds what Brandenmore did to Amber and they can fix it. I am kinda fond of the little girl. Anyone that can make Jonas purr is special and should have a wonderful life.

Lora Leigh's Breeds novels have an entertaining premise at their heart, and sometimes hot sex scenes. But the writing in the first few novels in the series is rather amateurish, and it took her a while to get to competent writing. You might think that would bode well, but no. By 2008, she's just phoning it in on these books. This is another example of a book you can hardly remember when you're done reading it: characters, plot, entertaining sex scenes -- nothing memorable.

Dealing with both attraction and prejudice, this is a very good read. Lora Leigh never disappoints.I really enjoyed this a lot. Without spoiling too much, I like how he is strong but he understands when to use force and when to hold back. Now that is smexy to me!I'd keep him for sure!

I really need to stop reading these. They're so bad but, like Cheetos, it's hard to stop once you get started. Like the others in the series, it's not written well and makes very little sense, but it's strangely compelling. Neither the best nor the worst in the series, it seems kind of like a filler episode, but if you're a fan of the series you'll probably enjoy it.

Styx's Storm might be book 22 in the Breeds series but it is still going strong. Styx's Storm is full of both heat and drama, that will have you clinging to the pages. For the most part I enjoyed Storme Montague's character, there were times that I wanted to grow up a little and accept the hand she was dealt. But overall I understood why she didn't trust people. It would be hard to trust people with the life she had. She survived all those years on the run by being smart and cautious, and not making bad choices. I loved the reaction Storme had to Styx's from the very moment they met. She was exhausted and had no place left to run, when she accepts his help because she doesn't believe the he knows who she is. I could understand how Storme felt when it turned out Styx did know who she was and slept with her trying to mate her and gain her trust. I am glad that it didn't hurt the relationship they had by the end of Styx's Storm . I loved Styx's but I didn't agree with some of the things he did. The struggle that Styx went through to gain Storme's trust was great. I loved the drama of it, and her fighting him but wanting him all at the same time. Styx's is patient as much as he can be, but knowing that Storme is his mate and Jonas wants to put her under Breeds Law doesn't give him much time to get Storme to come around. Poor Styx was stuck in the middle between his mate, and the duty he had to the Breeds.Like all of the Breed novels, Styx's Storm is a strong story with wonderful characters and scorching sex. I loved how far Storme came in Styx's Storm . She went from lumping all Breeds together as violent beast, to accepting them and calling them friends and family.
