Could you have a SLEEP DISORDER?

When it comes to our wellbeing, sleep is key. It supports our immune system, helps us recharge and maintain a healthy weight. James Wilson, AKA the Sleep Geek, is sleep practitioner: ‘Sleep is a foundation. Sleeping poorly will eat away at your health.’

However, with sleeping difficulties affecting 40% of Brits*, it’s clear that many of us are not getting the rest we need. Lisa Artis from The Sleep Charity says: ‘Lack of sleep impacts on concentration, emotions and energy levels. There is also research to show the long-term effects of sleep deprivation which include heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Lack of sleep can also induce feelings of isolation – it’s a very lonely place to be at 3am in the morning when you can’t sleep.’

It may time to look at the reasons why you aren’t getting as many hours of sleep as you would like, and to understand if a bigger problem is to blame.
