If you haven’t developed a heatwave plan for your poultry you may be putting their lives at risk. Once the thermometer reaches 30°C they start panting but, if it tops 38°C, luck and the measures you’ve put in place are all that may save them.
We have some suggestions you can implement so you’re not out in the heat trying to save birds. Remember that poultry are not alone in suffering heatstroke; you too can overheat and the consequences can be dire.
Aim to block the entry of too much heat into the henhouse or yard so you create an environment that allows the flock
