The Alpha 100 had a capable touchscreen that was heavily recessed into the body in the interests of damage protection – but this made it less easy to use, it accumulated dirt, and the sensitivity left something to be desired – you had to stab firmly at the screen. Using the 200i is like using a modern phone, you can tap easily and even swipe between pages on the flush mounted 3½” screen. This means you simply use the unit better.
