WHEN the last NZHRA Street Rod Nationals were held in Tauranga in 2015, the event attracted 250 cars and 420 entrants. This year, the year of the COVID, 160 cars along with 240 entrants made it to Tauranga for the 2020 Classic Cover Street Rod Nationals. Just a month prior it was still looking like the event would take place with no Auckland entrants due to the Governments divided COVID levels. But once the whole of New Zealand went down to Level One, the event suddenly went into overdrive for the host club Bay Rodders Inc.
