Southampton isn’t the first place that springs to mind when discussing launchpad locations for a world champion winter sports star, but the south-coast city’s dry slope arena proved to be the takeoff point for Billy Morgan: Olympic medal winner and the world’s first snowboarder to land the gravity-defying 1800 quadruple cork.
