Whilst I appreciate that most everything in life is subjective, I believe I may well be fawning over the epitome of a café racer, albeit in modern guise. Yes, I know, that is a bold statement, but having ridden a number of motorbikes of late, all great bikes in their own right, somehow the Kawaski W800 Café stands out for its sheer audacity.

Top marks to Kawasaki for keeping their eye on the ball with regards to the seemingly unstoppable force of neo-classicism. The timing of the launch of the W800 Café was impeccable, almost a divine intervention, drawing attention away from the sportsbike arena to one of spirit, minimalism and old-school character.
