• Scraps of wool felt in assorted colours (appliqué)

• Fat quarter light grey linen (appliqué background)

• Scraps of assorted print fabrics in colours to complement the wool felts

• 65cm ( 3/4yd) light-value fabric (lining of cushion front)

• 60cm ( 3/4yd) coordinating print fabric (cushion back)

• 10cm ( 1/8yd) grey and white stripe print fabric (binding)

• 10cm ( 1/8yd) taupe and white stripe print fabric (binding)

• Cotton batting at least 60cm (23in) square

• Stranded embroidery floss in dark brown and colours to match the wool felts

• 20cm (8in) embroidery hoop

• Sharp pencil or erasable fabric-marking pen

• Template plastic and permanent-marking pen
