When a power cut hit the sleepy village of Pavlovec in northeast Croatia, it led to a grisly discovery.
It was February 2019, and neighbours were starting to notice a repulsive smell.
Seemed it was coming from the home of a middle-aged woman, Smiljana Srnec.
Police arrived in the village to investigate.
