Somewhere towards the end of the year, among the chaos of life and print deadlines, I had let the practices that connect my body to my breath, mind and soul dissolve. Usually, yoga, surfing and being in nature are my go-to practices for a deep buzz of aliveness and energy. And since it had been a few weeks since I’d done any of those things, it was time to retreat to Byron Yoga Centre.
