BASIC BUTTER CAKE
PREP + COOK TIME 1½ HOURS SERVES 12
250g butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
1½ cups (330g) caster sugar
3 eggs
1¾ cups (260g) White Wings self–raising flour
⅓ cup (50g) White Wings plain flour
¾ cup (180ml) milk
VANILLA BEAN ICING
1½ cups (240g) icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
Preheat oven to 160°C/140°C fan. Grease a deep 20cm square cake pan or deep 22cm round cake pan, line base and sides of pan with baking paper, extending the paper 5cm
